Most Helpful Positive Review Very very impressed
I use this on my p320 x carry and wowwww does it make a difference! Completely took all that snap you normally get and smoothed out all my shots into much tighter groupings and double taps. I used a few different combinations of spring and rod until I found what suited me best. I went with the heavy...

Most Helpful Negative Review Doesn’t fit with p320 compact
Says it fits p320 compact but if most definitely doesn’t. You can’t get the slide all the way back and when the slide is flush with the frame the guide rod sticks out. Might fit full size p320. Also annoying that it comes with 3 different size springs but no instructions on the purpose for each

Perfect to control recoil

by RCD, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on September 6, 2024
Have several of these in my pistols. Must have if you plan to use a compensator. The three provided springs allow you to adjust the recoil based on your pistol configuration.
Pros:
  • Quality
  • Adjustable
Cons:
  • price

Overpriced trash

by Three percenter, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on August 10, 2024
Overpriced trash. If you plan on using this with a micro comp or PMM duty comp, do yourself a favor and use stock spring. It works fine and is way more reliable. The 3.9 barrel does not need all these unreliable pieces.

I personally use the DPM spring with an Ultra Comp on a sub compact barrel. It proves to be useful on that set up with different grains of ammo, plus the intricate set up of a short traveling slide that needs proper cycling. I have two of those and they work great. This however is definitely not reliable and will give you issues.

I can assure you, on a compact/carry, stick with stock weight and avoid multiple weak unrigid springs that will coil under duress and get caught...its crazy but these springs are too flimsy for longer slides. That can't hold their shape.
Sub compact is good, carry os too long. I wouldnt even dare mess with the full size with this cheap Greek manufacturing

Three times the price for little to no gain over standard tunable guide rods.

by Patrick M., Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 14, 2024
I was quite excited to try this system due to the reviews you see about them. Unfortunately, after a good bit of testing with the spring rates in USPSA and practice I neither see or feel a difference in felt recoil or muzzle flip. I have been using a stainless guide rod and spring for many years now, switching to the DPM system made no difference I can see or feel. It gets 3 stars simply because it is better than the stock system. I swapped back to my other guide rod and spring combo as it is better tuned to my ammo and shooting style for competition.

good product gives options

by Brah, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on May 5, 2024
This is an all in one product that fits or fills many of my shooting needs recommended. You notice the difference if you are trying to keep your shots on target but not if you are just shooting and not worried about accuracy.
Best Used for:
  • accuracy

excellent recoil reduction

by PRC, Verified Owner from PA, United States Written on May 4, 2024
I put together a comped slide for my 320 x-5 legion. I used this with a herrington comp,OEM slide, and a true precision 4.6 threaded barrel. I was really surprised. The combo produced great results. Very flat shooting with perfect return to zero.I had a few stovepipes with the light spring. The gold spring produced the best results of the 3.

Works Well

by Soundshooter, Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on April 12, 2024
I own several of these recoil systems in Glock, HK and Sig. For me, the lesser size recoil spring works best although this shooters preference. I have roughly a couple thousand rounds fired on my Sig. No noticeable difference since the first round fired. There are other alternatives, but this is my go-to. Don't lose the bushing if you do, you're buying another one.
Pros:
  • Adjustable
Cons:
  • Pricey $$$
Best Used for:
  • fast follow-up
