After contemplating any of a dozen different sights on Amazon, watching YouTube, and reading blogs/forums, i decided to go with the eo tech xps2-2. I haven't shot at more than 100 yards so the dots havn't been validated with the ammo I've been using per se, but at 50 yards it looks good.
I have it on an x95, and again while the 2 dot might be overkill for the rifle it allows for a frame of reference and it wasn't fuzzy with my astigmatism.
It's expensive, but you get what you pay for

I love Eotech dots. I have an EXPS3-1 as well. My only complaint with the XPS2 is that the buttons suck compared to the EXPS3. They are mushy and unresponsive but it is the lower end model so I'll take that trade off for price. I'd still buy it again for what I'm using it for.

After considering a few different optics, I decided to try out the EOTech XPS2 on my 8” Blackout, and honestly, it’s been one of the best upgrades I’ve made. Here’s my breakdown of how it performs on my setup.

First Impressions & Fit

Right out of the box, the XPS2 feels solid—rugged, compact, and well-built. It’s noticeably lighter than some other optics I’ve tried, which is great because I don’t want unnecessary weight on my Blackout. Mounting was quick and easy, and it sits at the perfect height for a natural sight picture.

Performance & Reticle

The 1 MOA dot with a 68 MOA ring is exactly what I was looking for. At close range, that big outer ring makes target acquisition stupid fast, and when I need to take a more precise shot, the center dot keeps things dialed in. Even at 100 yards, it’s crisp and easy to use.

The holographic sight is a game-changer compared to traditional red dots. No parallax issues, and even if I shift my head slightly, the reticle stays on target. That’s a big deal when running drills or transitioning between targets.

Haven’t got to the range yet but looks and feels like an EOTech is supposed to. Thought it might be a little blurry but I had LASIK and thought that may be the reason why.
