Excellent quality
I needed a slightly larger case than I usually buy for an AR10 308 (Savage) and chose this Eylar based on dimensions. It's very heavy duty with reinforced corners, strong latches, and it seems to seal air tight. I like that the lid has egg crate foam because it feels like everything is more secure when closed. Highly recommend this and will most likely buy another one or two.
In my opinion Eylar cases are just as good if not better than Pelican.
I own a couple Pelican Vaults. I have heard a lot of good things about Eylar cases. It's definitely built well and it's stout. You aren't buying a lightweight case. The little pull and pluck cubes come apart easy to customize the inside of whatever you want to put in. For me the ease of the customizable pull and pluck foam over cutting of the Pelican Vault foam is the deciding factor. I will be buying a couple more in the future for some different rifles. Oh it also has the air pressure valve. After I got the lid closed with my gear inside, I turned the air release and a little bit of air came out. Pretty neat. Measure your rifle and add a minimum of 4" to the case size. My rifle is 40" overall and it barely fit with two layers of foam cubes on the ends. Sizing up is ok, you can't shrink your rifle.
Pros:
- Built very well and customizes easy
Cons:
- None really unless you are looking for a lightweight case.
Best Used for:
- Carrying/traveling with rifles or expensive electronics.

Great protective case
The case is well built and very sturdy. Padding is very good and as description said. It was also delivered ahead of schedule. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Perfect case!
I bought this case to lock my rifle in my truck while not at work. It fits perfectly. Easy use, plenty of padding, thick durable hard case. And half the price of a Pelican case.

i like it and i would buy it again
This is a very durable case and it fits my rifle perfect. It fits under my truck seat for easy storage, and it’s perfect if your trying to carry it into the woods for your hunt. (Disclaimer I’m doing this for a coupon)

Great Value
I wanted a hard case for my new PRS rifle, but looking at Pelican prices took me aback. Eylar provided a good alternative for about half the amount.
The case feels solid, and has plenty of room for the rifle, scope, and accessories.
I was concerned by some reviewers’ negative experiences, but what ultimately swayed me was OP’s free return policy. (And my case did arrive free from any defects or damage.)
The one thing I wish was available would be a no-foam option. The pluckable foam works okay, but I’m going to replace it with a tougher closed-cell polyethylene to better cushion my 16 lb. setup.

Final Sale not done yet
I had to return the original case due to it looking poorly made. I have exchanged it for another model but the same case and it hasn't arrived yet. I am hoping it was a fluke, and the new Eyelar case is as described? The price was right, the dimensions closest matched my needs. A bit heavier than desired but no option for type of foam. In about 2 weeks I should have a more final and complete review based on the exchanged case.
Pros:
- Strong, sturdy, room for 2 smaller rifles such as a 10/22 and a fightlite SCR
Cons:
- Quality of construction to be determined!
