Most Helpful Positive Review Works exactly as it should
A sturdy well built product that delivers just as the description says. Although a bit pricey for a piece of plastic, they've basically cornered the market on this style so I guess they can charge whatever they like to recoup they're R&D. Pros: Great for holding a spare magazines. Solid & well built Cons: A bit pricey for a piece of plastic.

Accessory review

by T Mo., Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on February 21, 2024
I LOVE this product. I'm in a unique place of needing the ability to be able to grab one weapon system and maybe or not the matching weapon go bag and be prepared to fight a large group of hostels. The mag I put in the AR and in the front mag holder is the 60 round mag. That gives me 120 round to start the battle even without the AHDBL bag directly on the weapon system (Not a bad start). If all you could get is the weapon system you got a good amount of ammo attached. If you need fast and easy remove the mag and put it into your pocket. If you use a bipod like me you will want to loose the mag to make that work or just use the mag in a pinch as your bipod until you can loose the front mag. If the fight goes past that then drop to 30 round mags to dump the weight for faster moving options. As for the mag holder product I'm putting them on every weapon system. I tried a similar product in 9 mm for my close quarters weapon system (9 mm AR style pistol) but it would not fit on the rail system.
Pros:
  • A weapon system without ammo is useless
Cons:
  • If you use larger mags you will need to remove before using your bipod but still better to have the extra ammo in my job
Best Used for:
  • all AR weapon systems

Great Idea

by Jiro, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on February 17, 2024
I thought this was an awesome idea. After install, it seems pretty solid; did some quick reload drills and found it very useful. I recommend this foregrip; although it looks a little goofy, function>looks. I worry that the item is plastic, but if it breaks, I’ll be sure to post about it. More training will determine its durability. The FDE color matches my build and the magazine also doesn’t rattle when inserted into the holder, which is another plus. Processing was still slow from OP, as usual. Took about a week.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • good addition
  • functional add-on
  • Quick reload
Cons:
  • Material (plastic)
  • Slow shipping but I knew beforehand
Best Used for:
  • Drills
  • Quick reloading
  • more capacity

Utility Vertical Fore Grip

by VinceS, from TX, United States Written on February 16, 2022
Well made & solid lockup with secondary locking bolt. When used with just the quick release it gives a little loose feeling, but when you set the secondary locking bolt it becomes very solid. Will almost flush out a 10x mag leaving enough area to grab the mag before you press the release.

FAB defense is awesome!

by Jeff, from FL, United States Written on March 21, 2021
Nice can't wait to go to the range and actually see how this thing functions. Given this thing was made by Israeli special forces I'd trust it with my life. I like the over feel although it is a bit bulky feels good in the hand. Definitely recommend!

Necessary addition

by Florida Shooter, from FL, United States Written on December 29, 2019
Perfect polymer product, so far it has accepted every type of mag. The FDE color is slightly off but I've realized no FDE is exact. The mounting is good , I used the permanent bracket but the quick- realise is handy.
Pros:
  • Versatality
Cons:
  • One side mag release button

Great way to carry a extra mag.

by Ski2, from TX, United States Written on January 3, 2019
I have a couple of these and they worked out great. I have the black ones. I only put a ten round in them. Less weight up front. Love the fact that it doubles as a vertical grip. Very happy with the purchase.
Pros:
  • Great way to carry a extra mag
Cons:
  • A little pricey but worth it.
Best Used for:
  • Carrying a extra mag

If its good for our troops

by Legacy Reviewer, from HI, United States Written on August 19, 2013
Our soldiers use this in the field, For the urban fight, I like the backup mag in the forend and butt stock so I don't have too grab a bandolier for extra mags.
Pros: Backup mags not dangling, like on bandolier.
Cons: Rifle is heavier,
