these things may look gimmicky, but I love them. Great handhold when needed and they look great with the interchangeable faces.
I painted two of mine for a quick and cheap way to personalize.
it is not super clear on optics planet that the grips don't come with the base.. so be aware of what you are purchasing as I have seen many down votes for folks who just purchased the grips without the base Magwell cover they snap on to.

Do you need this? Does it perform a significant functional service? To be honest, I'd say not on both counts. Is it overpriced? When you add the cost of the replacement mask- most definately. Would I buy it again? HECK YEAH! I got this, the base well cover grip, plus the optional Crusader accessory mask and the combo looks glorious. It's too bad there isn't an option to upload a reviwer photo because you need to see both pieces put together and on a gun to fully appreciate the awesomeness. Purely an aesthetic add-on, just wanted more FDE color on my budget AR without having to get anything Cerakoted, this offered color plus grande personality. Don't try to justify, just buy them.

It's made well but after test fitment it's going take some grinding, sanding, and filing with several trail fits to get my Magpul magazines to work with it. However it does fit better than the older magwell grip from FAB Defense. Never could get that one to work properly with Magpul magazines.

Fit is perfect and looks awesome on my FDE ar. Very easy to install. Took me 5 minutes.

I liked the idea of having another area for foregrip, but I simply don't like it. I never thought I'd need something like this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Some would think it's cool looking, but it does nothing for function (for me). Aside form that, and the most troublesome, was that it hangs up your magazine, and you have to forcefully pull your mag out instead of dumping it! I'm sure this can be rectified with a Dremel Tool or a file, but NOTHING should prevent the immediate release of your mag. I put this very easily onto an FN15, so there was torqueing to get it to fit that might have mis-shapened it, so it definitely wasn't user-error that made it hang up the magazine. Again, this was on a mil-spec FN15DMR2, not some Frankengun that may have a some weird flared/un-flared magwell.

So I purchased the night, Templar face cover by itself. I was pretty disappointed because it did it fit properly not realize that I needed this piece as well. “Operator Error” Once I ordered this, it made 110% sense to me after that. It feels real nice in your hand with a nice tight grip. It’s like putting Isotonic glove on your mag well. It allows you to have an extra option for grip if needed. I personally like how it easily guides my magazine into the magazine well. Very simple to install and very secure once installed. No special tools are needed to get the job done nor do you need an armor. The material is also very tough. It seems like it could take a good beating. Ensure that you do not have flared magazine well, it will not fit. If you’re looking for a simple upgrade, that is beneficial and good looking, I’d recommend this product. I’m sure John Wick would recommend this as well.

Nice accessory and I do like the way it looks, but I had to modify to fit AeroPrecision lower trigger guard.

Have an Aero M4E1 lower. Lower mojo magwell inside corners near bottom of trigger guard needed some judicious grinding to fit properly. Less than 15 min. work. Still happy with product.

The design is defective, it cannot be completely closed and the screws cannot be tightened. There are no installation instructions in the box. You have to find the disassembly steps by yourself before you can install it. The materials are okay, but I don't recommend it.
