Nicely made BCG
Faxon Firearms is a great company they stand behind their products. If you have any issues they will replace it no questions asked. Optics planet has also become a great company to deal with. I have purchased a lot from Optics planet in the past and will continue to in the future. The BCG from Faxon Firearms is in my go to AR-15 for protecting my family and property no doubt. Very reliable performers and looks great doing it.

- Less practice at removing jams
Best Used for:
- Reliable action can count on it in a self defense situation. I will 100% go to to protect my family.

Great Nitride BCG
Like everything from Faxon, this BCG is very well made and the nitride finish is very consistent with no blemishes. It functions perfectly, although it's hard to find a BCG that doesn't at the beginning of it's life span. The nitride finish will hold up better than phosphate or nickel boron, putting it on par with chrome.

Gas key staking was terrible
I ordered one of these for an AR that had a Faxon 223 Wylde barrel, so I assumed based on the quality of the barrel. the BCG would be as good. As soon as I opened the packaging and looked it over, the gas key staking was horribly inadequate, it was like it was staked by a child. So unfortunately I had to return it.

works flawless
Shoot over 500 rounds of pmc x tac 5.56 out of a Daniel defense 12.5 upper. No issues ran flawless no malfunctions. I used wilson combat gun lube which made it run smooth. I tried it on a different upper and no issues aswell. The one CON is the staking on the gas keys needs to be a little more improved. Other then that ot worked.

Faxon 556 bolt carrier group
I purchased a faxon bcg to run with a 14.5 gunner barrel for a current build. I've run faxon barrels and bolts previously and always with satisfaction. The price was good and the quality is consistent as expected.
