Like the look and feel of the handguard - Don't like that it arrived without any hardware!
While I like the look and feel of this handguard, I was very disappointed that it arrived without any installation hardware. The instructions mention a locking plate and 2 bolts, so it would seem that these should have been included. As-shipped, the handguard is useless. I have a 6 ARC build that is on hold now. I reached out to Optics Planet for a resolution. Will update this review accordingly after I receive a response.

Optics Plant exchanged the handguard and I am very happy with the customer service. The Faxon handguard was installed and it is one of my favorite AR handguards. Great quality and feel and is a great touch to my Faxon based 6 ARC upper build.

Special parts
Does not fit on M5 upper! Anti rotation tabs are great, but they should mate up with the #1 upper on the market. Especially because Faxon is out of stock on their AR10 uppers right now.

Great Handguard
I installed this handguard on an Aero Precision M5 upper. The anti-rotation pins fit very snuggly against the rail on the M5. The attachment nut for the handguard has a post that fits into the groove in the barrel nut. The screws and the nut plate have to be completely removed in order for the handguard to come off of the barrel nut. Extremely well crafted and engineered. I have absolutely no concerns about this handguard coming loose, turning, or falling off at all. Very happy with this purchase. Perfect length for the 12" Faxon barrel I am using.

A Good Fit for 12.5” AR-15
I have a 6mm ARC build where I was trying to be weight conscious but also keep the build within the constraints of my budget. This looks good and is not too heavy. I like this version with the absence of rail in the center. It is solid.
Pros:
- Lower weight, appearance, sturdy

- None
Best Used for:
- Carbine, SBR or pistol builds.
