Great product!
After a ton of research, this seemed like good "bang for the buck"... and I have not been disappointed. Amazingly easy to use and love the LaRue mount that's included (holds zero on reattach). This model is good to about 100 yards. I will just note that getting sighted in was different (get some han...

Unhappy With Product And Customer Service
If your reading this, you are considering a Flir RS-32. I would not recommend buying it from Optics Planet! My Thermal scope worked great the first 5 times I took it out. Unfortunately, I am not a professional hunter and can not get out to the bush 5 times in one month to throughly test the product before deciding if I wanted to keep it. I was very happy until the thermal stopped performing. When talking with Flir, they told me this could be an older unit that had been on their shelf for years.
The resolution started dropping. The battery now quickly dies in an hour and the menu screen outline stays in plain sight even after it is turned off disrupting vision. These are not things that should happen within a few months of spending this kind of money.
I called Optics Planet for advice but received no help. "Since you have had the product well outside the 30 days we can not offer you a return." I was told to contact Flir for help. This is NOT the customer service you expect when spending $4000 on a scope! No offers of a refund even if I spent the money with them on something else. No offers to replace the scope. Very disappointed.

Coolest thing I've ever bought
When I first turned it on and pointed it at the carpet I was puzzled by these quarter sized glowing spots creating a trail down the hallway. I then realized that it was my cats foot prints as it had recently ran through my field of view. So I took it to the woods. I could see through scrub brush and locate animals that I had no way of seeing before. I heard a deer tromping through the underbrush. I lifted the scope and could make out all four appendages and its tail. I also saw some small 4 legged creature, maybe a raccoon, walking silently along. All of this occurred at about 150' away from where I was sitting. I am thoroughly impressed with this scope. I bought this just before black friday when Flir offering a $1000 rebate. Truly the only reason I considered buying it...Optics Planet was giving 5% off instantly too, but then by black Friday they were offering 12% off. I contacted them through the live chat on the site. Optics PLanet refunded me the other 6%! I was credited back around $275! OPtics Planet, YOu guys rock! You have a customer for life now.

FLIR RS 32- Great Thermal Imaging Rifle Scope
This increased my hog hunting success 4-5 fold. Very good product and more affordable than other thermal image scopes. Easy to understand controls. Dependable company. Withstands the recoil of my AR-10. Durable and reasonably waterproof.
Pros:
- Price
- Warranty
- Dependable
Cons:
- The little rubber tang holding the rubber charge port cover was broken when purchased. Just have to be careful not to lose the charge port cover.
Best Used for:
- hunting
