Another reviewer indicated that he received his upper with a shorter handguard, I can confirm that the handguard comes with two rows of M-Lok slots and comes as pictured and described.
It's a solidly constructed unit with a high qauality bolt carrier group.
This upper is quite hefty for such a compact unit, but a heavy caliber like .45 Auto demands it.
I paired this with Foxtrot Mike's FM45 lower receiver, and it's a match made in heaven, as both the upper and lower fit very well together with little, if any, space between them.
The lower comes with a nylon screw to help secure the upper and lower, which is not expected.
For a value brand, I have to say I was quite impressed with the overall quality of the entire build, the lower comes with more features than you'd expect, with a last round bolt hold open feature, and even the ability to make the bolt release ambidextrous, provided you have an upper that has a notch for it, which this upper does NOT have, so be aware.
The entire upper is made of high quality materials, and the combined firearm is very comfortable to hold. It's a meaty gun for a meaty caliber.
If I had to nitpick, it would be about the charging handle. It's your run of the mill milspec charging handle, and I immediately swapped it out with a Rise Armament one to give the gun a more aggressive appearance.
