Most Helpful Positive Review Nice concept, 4 stars because unsure of durability.
This is a highly fascinating product, my only reservation is the steal feels hollow or soft. Like it could break or bend, no issues yet, but havent stressed tested. Don't get me wrong, it does what it says and may remarkable, but this is my upfront feeling when touched. Maybe if was 7170 Carpenter

Fortis castle nut/end plate

I installed it on my 308 the other day. The way it locks the nut from loosening is awesome. I love the concept and the look it gave my weapon. I will probably only buy these from now on unless something unforeseen happens over time. Initial reaction is very positive!

Exactly what I wanted!!

Works great! Very easy to install and uninstall. Goes on tight and secure, and adds a nice accent to a boring looking buffer tube. Shot over 300 rounds with this so far with zero issues. I’ll be purchasing more for my other AR platforms for sure.

I purchased the setup for five times. I like the fact that you don't have to worry about staking it. The ratcheting system definitely won't let it loosen. But if you do need to remove it for some reason it's very easily done.

New way if doing things!

K1 is tapered castle nut version and K2 is lever lock version. Both are fantastic and negate the necessity for staking castle nuts and allow for easier removal when necessary. Make sure you torque correctly and they will serve you indefinitely. Additionally they are ultra lightweight. Functionality between K1 & K2 are horse a piece although I prefer the K1 because I feel there is less likelihood of the lever failing, yet this is not supported by anything other than my personal option. Fortiss customer service is excellent and products are all top notch. Bonus, Optics Planet is an excellent company on all levels!

Fortis for the win!

Well it’s an end plate and castle nut. It’s a part that everyone needs for their AR rifle so why not use one that looks awesome too? The locking mechanism is a great addition in case you need to disassemble your rifle since you don’t have to stake and restake your castle nut. The coating and materials are high quality and it’s Fortis so you know it will outlast the rest of the rifle.
