great mag catch
I purchased 3 just on a hunch that they might be a good product, and im glad i did. They work great, and work w my odin works extended mag release button. Extremely easy to install, wnd fit perfectly into my 2 5.56 ar's, and 1 .300 blackout ar. (Same lower as a 5.56 anyhow). It catches pmag gen3 and gen2 without issues, even with my .300 blackout dual mag set up w cuplinks.... Zero issues holding them in place fully loaded up. Release mags without issues aswell. Great addition to the builds.. couldn't be happier with this product. Fortis has never let me down.

Impressed with the quality!
For $15 I have to say I was extremely impressed with the anodized aluminum quality! It was machined very well exactly to mil spec. Would definitely buy again.
I’ll add one note that didn’t bother me too much but might be a dealbreaker for others. The red color didn’t quite match the red of the Fortis mag release button but for the quality and price, I’m not complaining. They look amazing!

Top Notch!
I have used dozens of different magazine catches over the years from stock to aftermarket. They have all pretty much felt and functioned the same. I purchased this Fortis Mag Catch to fit a build theme. Other than looks, I did not think that such and innocuous part could really be improved enough that you could notice the difference. Boy was I wrong! This works smoother and more positive than any other previous mag catch I've used. Paired this with a Battle Arms Development EMMR button. This is now my favorite combination. No slop, wiggle or excessive play. Super positive magazine engagement with multiple different mags. Don't know what secret sauce Fortis uses to actually improve such a simple component, but it works!

grey anodized is NOT grey
Appears to be a quality part, but grey anodized as it appears in the pic is very misleading. Packaging says “GRY” but color looks more like a dark brown & definitely does not match the silver/gray parts I’ve collected for a build. Will return but now project being held up by a $15 part.

The Button That Could
Nice mag release button, looks great with all of the other Fortis products. The black one in the pictures on here looks all chewed up but rest assured it is not. Smooth clean little F button.

Green Anodized
This mag catch is extremely well machined. Fits and works perfectly and to top it off it matches my green anodized Aero Precision lower perfectly.
