Most Helpful Negative Review Will need much fitting
Installing this magwell will require much fitting. Definitely not drop in. Gaps at the well. MSH negated my grip safety. Will need much filing to fit correctly. Would recommend spending the extra money on a Nighthawk.

This magwell fit with no slop or binding...slid right in. The quality is excellent and looks great on the 1911 pistol I added it to. The price was more than fair. Anyone should be happy with this product.

Solid Piece

I was looking to install a magwell to my Kimber CDP, mainly for the reason to get more comfort out of the grip. As it would dig into the palm of my hand. NOT ENYMORE! this magwell is SOLID. the backstrap and magwell itself is actually a 2pcs part, both come together with an hex head small bolt. No issues installing it. It slid right in and made sure to use some blue loctite on that bolt/screw. I've had no issues since I installed it and have been carrying it for the past 2 weeks.

Nice magwell

Solid piece! Fits really good and gives the pistol a much better look and feel. Before the magwell the coner of the frame would dig into my palm. Now with the rounded contour of the magwell, it's much more comfortable.

Better mainspring housing than comes on a $1500 Kimber. Easy install, just make sure you slide the mag flair into position before putting the pin in.

I bought the stainless version of this for a Ruger 1911. It fits easily, color match is good with the Ruger as it has a light bead blasted finish. Bevel is good for faster insertion. Price was on good as it was on sale. No complaints.
