Great Product for Military Weapons
This is a great product for military or police weapons, as it allows you to use a single point sling without modifying the weapon. Most armorers will not authorize an endplate swap in order to install a rear sling attachment point. I'm not a fan of having the sling attached to the buttstock... so this is an excellent solution. If used in conjunction with a H&K style sling clip, it works great. if used with a Magpul MS3, it works... but is less than ideal. The loop is too fat for the Magpul clip, and so it gets chewed up pretty good... and chews up the end of your sling clip as well. It w...

Dont buy gets in the way
This was my first purchase with Opticsplanet and new to the AR15 world. The mount was easy to install without any major work or tools. Great price, got it quick made well, but it gets in the way of the charging handle. I like GG&G products but this falls short.

Interferes with use of charging handle
My agency has these sling adapters on the M4s it issues as patrol rifles. After day one of a 3-day patrol rifle school I went home with bloody fingers on my off hand.
The problem? When you pull the charging handle back your fingers rake across this sling mount. Depending on how you grip the charging handle you either peel your fingernail back (fun!) or rip your knuckles across the metal (funner!).
Spending eight hours doing rep after rep of drills really showed how poor this design is for real-world users. If you're sitting at a range casually shooting a few mags you can probably remember to work the charging handle in a way to avoid hurting yourself, but if you're going to use your rifle to do some real hard-core drills (or, God forbid, get in a real gunfight!), then avoid this model.
GG&G seems to make a good product and they do make a rear sling mount where the attachment point is at the bottom instead of on the upper sides...get that one instead.
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Will rip your fingers up

GG&G quality!
GG&G make high grade parts, and their agency sling adapter is right on the mark. It makes it simple to add a single sling adapter to your AR w/o having to remove the castle nut. It fit perfectly on my Colt M4 and doesn't budge. My only slight complaint is that the loop where the sling is attached is a little high, and sometimes you catch your fingertip on it when pulling back the charging handle. I rectified this issue by using a BCM Mod 3 Gunfighter charging handle.
Pros: quick and easy to attach, high quality
Cons: loops are a little high
