Most Helpful Positive Review Best TD chassis with caveats
This is a well-designed chassis which eliminates gap between the fore end and the chassis, unlike most available ones in the market. However, to do so, it requires the takedown mechanism to be include in the fore end. I had to use a combination of a takedown mechanism bought from ebay (too thick lev...

Most Helpful Negative Review Customer service lacking
This is a very expensive chassis that cost me as much as my original 10/22 TKD. With that said mine arrived with a loose fitting stock that couldn't be adjusted. I contacted Grey Birch and they responded quickly and admitted they had an issue with fitment tolerance with my batch of chassis. They sai...

Great chassis option

by Jason Hughes, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on May 29, 2024
I built two 10/22 takedown rifles with these and they are great. The TacSol x-ring receivers fit great. The light weight carbon fiber barrel from Volquartsen does fit but you either have to modify the takedown lever hardware or order a takedown lever assembly kit (not from Volquartsen) to attach the barrel. Volquartsen uses pan head screws with the head slightly to big as well as a larger diameter plunger than OEM (both can be modified but it is easier to order a kit). The chassis also accepts cerakote very well. I blasted with 120 grit aluminum oxide to prep the surface, then sprayed with Cerakote c-series paints (air cured, not heat). Both chassis turned out awesome. Light enough and portable enough to get some squirrels and rabbits but to also shoot steel challenge.
Pros:
  • light
  • easy assembly
  • Portable
  • accepts cerakote really well
Cons:
  • None
