Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect Solution for a lightweight build!
I purchased a few of these to compliment lightweight AR-15 and AR-10 builds. I own a couple Silencerco Omega silencers and switched from their ASR mounting solution to the Plan A from Griffin and couldn't be happier. I've shaved 1/2 pound from the front of my rifle in the interface with a MUCH simpler, repeatable firing solution. Be sure to secure this brake well before threading your suppressor over it to avoid it getting stuck inside the mount - otherwise, you 100% stupid proof and a great addition!

Ruger American Gen II Ranch in 5.56 upgrade

by P, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on February 22, 2024
I wanted a compact and lightweight (Ti) break that will accept a can or blast forward device to replace the factory break that came on my Ruger American Gen II Ranch in 5.56. It is .5 inches shorter than the factory Break. I could not get this unit to time perfectly with the supplied shims. However, I utilized a crush washer and solved this issue. Personally speaking, it looks way better than the factory unit and functions as expected. I also bought the optional Taper Mount thread protector that rounds out this system and looks great (to me). I would buy again and replace with this unit on a few of my other builds.

Super lightweight taper mount muzzle break

by Hooligun, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on February 21, 2024
This is super light for the front of your rifle. I prefer Griffin taper mounts for my suppressors. When using a 100% titanium suppressor it is nice to also be able to have a titanium muzzle mount to keep the swing weight as low as possible. The muzzle break extends the life of your suppressor baffles by being a sacrificial chamber and if it ever wears out is ALOT cheaper to replace than a baffle stack. The taper threading is precise and I have them on at least 5 rifles so when swapping suppressors they line up every time with a check rod to verify centricity. I purchased one direct through Griffin armament and it’s cool to get decals and a catalogue but after paying full price + Shipping it was about 120 and getting it on optics planet with a coupon and bonus bucks it was only about 85.00. So if you plan to outfit multiple guns OP is the place to be!!!!
Best Used for:
  • Suppressor mount
