A lot of the other reviews mention these being extremely stiff and difficult to deploy / flip up. The set I got was not like that. They deploy smoothly and lock into place solidly.

The mounting kit that comes with these isn't my favorite, but it's not as bad as people are making it out to be either. Two small metal shims are included which sit between the picatinny slot and the mounting screw. As long as you use these shims, the mounting shoes will not damage your rail.

I paired these with a $2 CMMG A2 front sight post detent just to fix the look, as the one that comes with this is light gray.

I've struggled to get these consistent since April. The offset mount snapped clean from a bipod tip the other day. After snap rings having to be ordered by customer service I don't have the will to reach back out. These will stay down for plinking til I can buy the ultradynes that I should've bought in the first place. These are gimmick sights like strike sidewinders. Go with Troy for full adjustment and durability.This has made me nervous about recommending griffin barrels/suppressors. Looks like cast metal..

What makes these sights unique is that you can off set them or place them directly on the top rail for traditional sights. This alone makes them very versatile. The other pros is that that are very minimal, very durable, all steel construction, machined very well and lightweight. They also have a very solid sight picture. They just work.

There is one con but you may find an advantage. These are stiff little suckers to flip up. They do loosen up a bit over time.

I would purchase again over my Troy’s, micro pro magpuls and even the low profile Midwest Industries (another great option).

At first I really hated the sights because you REALLY have to break them in . They are SO tight to the point I had to use a flat heat to deploy them. After about 200 times flipping them up and down they started to flip up like normal. Beautiful sight pictures. I can appreciate the sight but I probably wouldn’t buy them again only because how tight they were . You shouldn’t have to “break in your sights” so they’re flippable. On the bright side they’re really slim profile but they’re Long on the top rail if that makes sense. The front sight takes up a lot of rail space especially on shorter rifles.

These sights are rock solid. The rail attachments are tiny but extremely sturdy, and have all the sharp edges and corners are nicely smoothed. The finish is excellent and hard, not scratching from various impacts. The small profile of the rail attachments (both top and 45°) make this IDEAL for forward-side charging AR uppers (found in some in 9mm, 22lr) without interfering with the operation of the low-profile charging handle. Few iron sights have this quality. I have these on my Foxtrot Mike 9mm uppers.

These are real bruisers to put up and down. I cannot get the front up off my rail without mechanical assistance -- I keep a black garden hose O-ring through the picatinny slots right under it to assist in an emergency flip-up. I'm hoping with some breaking in the flip won't be quite as hard. The 45 front is easier to fold up and down because you can get your hand under the sight, unlike the rail-top setup.

I gave these 2 stars instead of zero because the front sight I received is fine. Easy to deploy. The rear sight however will not flip up for nothing. I'm glad I bought these as separate sites instead of a set because I'm keeping the front sight and sending the rear one back for an exchange.

Great sights for backup iron or 45 offset. Detents are firm. Sights are of good quality and construction. The only thing i see is there are not installation instructions include. But it doesnt take much to sort out which allen screws go where to install.

Purchased these elsewhere but they are very solid and the options to make them ambi 45* is great. I will be purchasing another for my next build.

griffin armament is a good company to deal with and I will be supporting them more in the future.

Very hard to fill open can't do it by hand if put CLP on them hoping they would easy up ! Never did but some magpul pros and have sights your can use if you ever need these are so hard to deploy you would need to drop your mag and use a round to flip them up but then the round would be in useable SMH !
