Not as described
Doesn’t work for ARs…not sure if they sent me the wrong unit or just don’t know what they are talking about with the listing. It seems well built, but I’ll be returning it as it’s nothing more than a paper weight. I’m not sure what it works with, but definitely not an AR-15.
Can’t beat it…
I have used Hera’s SFU on several builds over the years. From chassis bolt guns to custom shotgun builds, the SFU is built like a tank. I’ve had no problems with it coming loose or rotating. If you’re looking for a way to fold a non functional buffer tube system, this is by far the best option. They are becoming harder to find in stock, but Optics Planet came through again.

less than a year failure!
Got this about a year ago after a wait for them to be in stock. I have used it on a creedmoor bolt gun for just under a year. Didnt have any issues until i noticed cleaning the gun the hinge has flexed and now i have considerable wobble in the hinge. So my buffer tube n stock wobble when shooting.
Havent even used the folder much at all. Only for cleaning to clear the bore guide. I would not recommend. Youtube video will be following shortly. Already have the video footage.

Fit perfect. Use a small piece of tape on each side for a stiffer lockup.

Great side folding adapter
This is my favorite adapter to use on a Kriss Vector for use with a brace. I highly recommend them.

Ok, i had a threading issue with one that was a defect and replaced by OP with no problems.
That said only negative that could be considered a negative is that it doesnt have a lock clised position. Since for me its used on bolt action chassis rifles that is irrelevant.
The design is great. Good lockup and very streamlined and compact. For the price i believe this is the best option for my requirements. It allows me to shorten my transport package and also swing the stock out of the way for cleaning. If you use a riser for your cheek you will know the are an issue for running a bore rod or guide into the receiver.
That said i think its best in price for my needs.

extreme tight fit in S2Delta chassis!!!
Ok, it was a major work getting this SFU screwed into my S2Delta chassis. I had to confirm threads with other receiver to make sure threads were correct. I had to work it like tapping the threads! Also had to use a buffer tube as a wrench to get enough torque to twist it all the way in. Really i wouldnt recommend what i did because it may have torqued the hinge some. Anyway... It is a pretty nice design and it works great on the chassis. Its not coming off. Hope it lasts.

Not the Hera folding I was expecting
This adapter must have been a return item, can see scuff marks all over. Also the folding bracket is extremely loose so much my buffer easily moves up and down once folding out to shoot. Disappointed in getting an obvious used item, I have a Hera on my other bolt action. Fold with a solid click from the indents and absolutely no flexing.
