Most Helpful Positive Review At the tip of a finger...
Best trigger options for the money. And, to adjust pull weight all you have to do is adjust finger placement. Works absolutely PERFECT for me - Multi caliber lower donning 556 or 458 upper! Pulling low on the bow for the 556 and high for the 458... I haven't found a better comb for the money yet!
Most Helpful Negative Review When Hiperfire becomes hyper
After installing into my ar pistto and shoots around 500 rounds in two occasions, everything was great and I always check and clean my gun after I fired them. On the third time wit my friend, on my very first load, I was very calm and confident in front of my friends and in my mind, I will pull the ...

Much better than anticipated

by Clay, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 22, 2025
Running in a Lingle Industries SCAR AR 16 lower. Not many single-stage trigger options for the SCAR family and figured this was a good option. Functions as advertised for the upper and lower portions of the trigger bar. No issues to report.
Pros:
  • Light break. Crisp as a sun chip
Cons:
  • None

Easy to install, fit and finish looks good, good pull weight

by wakamama, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on January 22, 2025
I was looking for a single stage duty trigger for my truck/defense AR pistol, I did look in to Larue MBT2 and Giessele SSA-E but they are both 2 stage, first I was looking in to the Triggertech single stage Duty trigger, but since it’s for self defense, I want something basic, reliable and serviceable, so I switch from the cassette drop in style Triggertech and opt for this Hyperfire mil spec style EDT Designated marksman trigger, I like the heavier pull weight, not too heavy, not too light, and the dual trigger design, I can notice the difference on the trigger pull from the center bow vs the lower flat face, it give me 2 different option on how I want to engage the trigger for duty vs precision shooting, it has a clean break and very noticeable reset, however it does have a bit of pre travel, but not a deal breaker for me, overall I like the build quality, have 2 hammer spring weight option, easy install, took me less then 10 min, if your looking in to a single stage duty trigger that give you the right pull weight and easy to take apart and service and install with a good price point, I highly recommend this trigger.
Pros:
  • good price
  • Easy to install
  • Quality build
  • Single Stage
  • good pull weight
Cons:
  • small pre travel
Best Used for:
  • duty
  • ar pistol
  • Precision

Hiperfire EDT Designated Marksman

by Steven, from TN, United States Written on January 31, 2024
Was very easy to install. Came with clear instructions, new trigger/hammer pins and a long slave pin that is tapered on one end to aid insertion while the trigger assembly and/or hammer are under spring pressure. It also came with a choice of hammer springs (4.5lbs/Green and 5.5lbs/Red) The new trigger feels fantastic and is quite the upgrade from the Milspec ELG fire control group that came with my ZRODelta ready series.
Pros:
  • Free shipping
Cons:
  • None

OK after some work... Feels like a 2-stage

by alouicious, from CA, United States Written on July 11, 2023
I wasn't happy with it at all out of the box. Heavy, gritty, and got terrible accuracy. After polishing the engagement surfaces and lightening the spring a bit, it's a pretty good duty trigger, especially if you shoot ammo with hard primers. Feels like a 2-stage. I'm not a huge fan of the dual-purpose trigger, but could get used to it after a while. So if you're willing to dial it in, it's a good choice for the right applications.

Quickly becoming my favorite triggers

by Jon, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on January 21, 2023
Clean breaks, solid hits and short resets. These aren’t the fastest triggers out there. If you’re looking for strictly a competition trigger, there are better options. For all around use they’ve been as good as any other. The designated marksman trigger has a unique face with 2 finger positions. One for fast shooting and one for distance accuracy. Seems a little gimmicky but does actually make a difference.
Pros:
  • better than milspec
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • All purpose

Hiperfire EDT

by David Wilson, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on June 24, 2022
If you're looking to replace an out of the box factory trigger you will be happy with this trigger group. However, don't buy it expecting to get the same difference as $200-$300 trigger groups because this product isnt what youre looking for. This is a reasonably priced product that gives noticable improvement over mil-spec and if that's what you're looking for then this is the trigger group for you.

Underwhelming trigger upgrade

by Intrsttr76, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on September 11, 2021
The concept of this trigger really interested me: the curved upper section being beneficial for a fast shot under stress and the straight lower portion being more appropriate for a more precise shot. The pull weight is good: not too light and not too heavy. I dropped it in a rifle that previously had a BCM PNT trigger in it and saw average pull weight drop just over a pound. However, I went back to the BCM PNT because I got a more consistent, predictable break. Also, the BCM trigger is cheaper at time of writing. The Hiperfire isn’t bad, but my opinion is that there are better options at or below this price point. That said, Hiperfire’s included drift pins do simplify installation, and I wish every manufacturer included something similar with their aftermarket triggers!
Pros:
  • trigger weight
  • Innovative concept
  • included drift pins
Cons:
  • value
  • break could be more consistent

Great trigger for the price

by Oakes, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 5, 2021
I’ve used several Hiperfire triggers, ranging in price from $75 to $300 and all have been great, as well as their customer service. Why I like about this one in particular is the feel of the trigger shoe itself. The reviews don’t do it justice. The feel of the flat and the curve together giving you the option in pull weight by the fulcrum of where you place your finger is awesome. My finger easily finds the sweet spot on the shoe and the break is smooth, with very little creep. Compared to my ALG triggers, this is slightly more consistent in the pull and strikes harder, based on the geometry of the hammer system.
