It fits a Shield
People, listen up. This does fit on the M&P Shield. I have it on my Shield 45. Soak the grip in very hot water for at least five minutes to soften the rubber. Put it on the back of the grip first. Then pull over the front of the grip. It takes time and effort. Work it slowly up the grip. Believe me,...

Does NOT fit Shield 9mm!
I'm admittedly a pretty big Hogue fan, but this product is a dud. The Shield/LC9 model may fit the LC9, as the grip is quite a bit smaller than that of the Shield's, but it's not sliding onto a Shield without greasing the grip. I did everything imaginable to force the sleeve onto my Shield, includin...

Perfect Fit
Well-fitting grip for my G43. Warming the grip in water first is a necessity.

Hogue grips work great
I have Hogue grips on every handgun that i own. The finger grip grooves really help.

Gives a good purchase on a small gun
Looks a bit goofy but on a g43, the finger groove really gives you something nice to leverage against.

Improved accuracy
Best investment for your shield. Of all the bells and whistles I've installed on my shield this sub $20 grip made the biggest improvement to my accuracy and enjoyment of the pistol yet. Use 2 Allen wrenches and work in a circular motion until you get it all the way up. The people complaining are probably geriatrics. People will envy your shield after you install this.
Pros:
- Improved accuracy and grip
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Shield

Perfect for shield or shield plus models.
This grip is easy to install and the perfect modification for the slim shield 1.0 or 2.0. It fills out to the shape of your hand perfectly and provides a solid and secure feel when in use. I highly recommend it for most conceal carry sized pistols and this also fits on the shield plus as well.
Pros:
- Price, feel, quality, durability
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- conceal carry pistols

Great improvement
This should come standard with handguns that have a slim pistol grip. It provides a more natural feel while reducing the overall recoil jump of the handgun. It does. It interfere with any of the regular functions.
Pros:
- GREAT PRICE
Cons:
- Hard to install
Best Used for:
- Slim pistol grips
Would recommend: Yes
What a difference!!
Amazing what $17 will do for a small pistol. The Hogue beavertail grip for the Shield made exactly the right difference in feel, control, and
overall comfort for such a small carry pistol. Highly recommended for medium to large hands! But also improves the grip for anyone. Mine if the first gen Shield 9mm. I doubt I will even bother with the Shield Plus after this little upgrade. Thanks Optics Planet as always.

Finger Strength a Must!
If you have good finger strength, this doesn't take much to install (if you don't, you should consider the tape on type over this). Took me about 5 minutes total (counting heating up the water). Steps I took:
1. Filled up 2 cup measuring cup with the hotest water out of my tap, then I put it in the microwave for about 2 minutes
2. Got several dish towels to set my gun on, got Windex, setup next to the sink
3. Took hot water out of microwave and put the grip (for Glock G43) into it, flipped it around several times because it floats
4. Took it out after about a minute and aggressively shook dry (not toweled - don't want lint inside of it).
5. Put the grip over the sink and drenched the inside with Windex. Put the Glock over the sink and lightly sprayed the handle using my hands to smear it around. NOTE: This is on a brand new Glock G43. If yours is not brand new, please clean the handle BEFORE starting this.
6. Place the Glock on the towels (keeping one spare on the side) and starting with the backside of the handle, pushed it just far enough that I could then pull it over the frontside (took maybe 2 tries). At that point it's about shimming it back to front.
7. You'll find at some point it will stop progressing (most likely because your wet hands can't grip it enough anymore). Grab that spare towel and wrap it around the grip and continue shimming it back and forth pushing down.
8. Push till it's lined up around the magazine well, push the beavertail up nice and tight,...

Impossible to install
Destroyed two of them trying to get it on a Glock 23. Absolutely not good luck trying to fit it on with windex or hot water with their little shim technique. You will destroy it before you will fit it. Save your money

Like a Glove
I purchased the Hogue Handall Beavertail Grip Handgun Grip Sleeve for my Shield 40. Followed the directions with windex and HOT tap water and it slid on after moderate effort. Totally changes the grip fit and feel. Very good decision to purchase.
