Ruggedly built with a clear sight picture and holds zero under harsh operating conditions. Bottom line….I highly recommend.

I bought this to replace a decade old EoTech on my SBR. I wanted a large window like the EoTech to be able to co-witness. This does that just fine. The auto on/off is another feature I like along with the recital/brightness options and battery life. I have had good luck with several other Holosun products. Easy mounting and sighting in. It's also much lighter than what I was using before.

This is a quality red dot by Holosun regardless of what you think of the company.
The 30mm window is fantastic with 2 reticle options offered. Excellent battery life with shake awake. Titanium housing. Overall very solid.
Pros:
- battery life
- Shake awake
- 30mm window

Really robust design with great sized window at 30mm. Much better than the micros’ 20mm view. Have two of these units, and they are flawless. Mount is a quick detach with lock. Shake awake works really well. Would highly recommend. Have not tried an alternative mount.

I suffer from an astigmatism, and as such have trouble with “red dot”sights when viewed without my glasses. I currently have an eotech XP 2.0 green as well as a PA Cyclops 1x prism and this product is superior in reticule quality to my unaided eye. The outer ring is clear and I only have minor artifacts with the central 2 moa dot. With glasses on everything of course clears right up.
On Holosun’s webpage, under model description, it indicates that box includes “quick detach mount”, as well as “low profile mount”. I took that to mean that two mounts were included, but not in my case. Only the QD mount is included so FYI.
The shake awake function should be renamed touch awake as it is very sensitive. That’s a plus for me as it will be used in a HD role. Maybe a negative for some users who store it in a patrol car car etc as I think it would always we awake.
Cons:
- Missing low profile mount
Best Used for:
- Home defence, close to mid range shooting.

Similar to Aimpoint, except the 530G has a Titanium body opposed to an 6061-Aluminum body. You cannot argue Aimpoint is top-tier, but these Holosuns are phenomenal and hold their own. This is bigger than a 20mm Micro by Holosun, closer to a Trijicon MRO Patrol in physical size, but 5mm bigger than an MRO.
Don't hesitate to buy it. The Holosun Elite Series is also covered with a better warranty than Holosun Classic Series.

My overall assessment of this optic is that it's okay but approximately $120.00 - $140.00 overpriced. It's a red dot, the same display as my HS506 for $239.00. I like the 30mm tube over the 20mm offerings and the green dot wasn't available from Optics Planet in the 30mm tube. I don't feel the housing justifies the extra money in comparison to competitor's models currently being offered at substantial savings. I'm sure I would have been happier with the Steiner M332 Prism Rapid Dot for $350.00 (on sale at Optics Planet during this posting).
Pros:
- long battery life
- 30 mm tube
- clean appearance
- No White Manufacturer Label on This Model
