The correct tool always makes the job go better. The jag holds the cleaning patche securely while guiding it down the barrel

It's a bit long, but it works well and has a tight seal. The tip doesn't overpenetrate. You need to get 30 cal patches though. Any universal or general purpose ones or such can be too large and require doubling up or cutting.

I was so pleased when I cleaned my Sig Sauer P220 Combat with the Hoppe's 9 Elite Pierce-Point Cleaning Jag and I would strongly recommend this to all. This jag along with a cleaning patch cleans your barrel thoroughly. The only thing I can complain about is the shipping cost for this item is a lot more expensive than the actual item itself. I hope that Optics Planet can offer another shipping method for items such as this.
