Most Helpful Positive Review Great Optik
Very comparable to the Swarovski EL in optical clarity and weight, but at a much better price. I have had mine for 12 years now and I am very happy with them. Pros: Overall quality and value Cons: none
Most Helpful Negative Review Good But
Purchased based on recommendation and liked the clarity. My issue was when I had one lens fog up (lost nitrogen) and sent in under warranty. Please note there was no visual damage to the Kahles but they claimed the loss of nitrogen was not a quality defect and wanted to charge $194 to repair them. T...

Will not honor warranty

by SG, from MS, United States Written on September 21, 2019
Swarovski owns Kahles. Long story short, the focal adjustment was off. I sent them in to Swarovski. Tried to charge me $240. Said they had been dropped. They had not. Disappointing. Warranty not worth the paper it's on. I paid alot of money for these with the expectation there would be no hassle if they needed repair. After further investigation and other posts, looks like Kahles uses the,"they have been dropped" quite often to avoid warranty repairs.

Excellent Binos

by Stuart Pendus, from AZ, United States Written on November 5, 2017
I have a pair of 12-ish year old Kahles 10x42 binos I bought when Bass Pro discontinued this brand. They are great binoculars, but are not quite Swarovski light-gathering, IMO. Not too long after I got these, I compared them next to a similar set of Swaro 10x42s as the sun was setting and after it set. Every couple of minutes both sets would be passed around and the Swaros were the clear winner in light gathering up to and after darkness set. Now, to most this is like splitting hairs because we also had a set of Leupolds and a set of Nikons & both weren't even in the same galaxy as the Kahles' or Swaros'. With regard to clarity, color rendering and "sharpness," these are on par with anything out there, including Swarovski.
