Most Helpful Negative Review Gunsmith installation necessary
this is my 2nd installation of this rail on a SCAR and both times it required the receiver be slightly drilled out to not strip the screws. Once installed a great product but i don't recommend modifying your receiver to install it.

Awesome rail

As advertised, it only adds 3.6oz (that’s the longer rail too) to the guns weight. Construction looks very solid and well made. Comes with everything needed to install (torx wrenches, vibratite). Highly recommended.

MREX Handguard

This is a fantastic upgrade for the SCAR. Lightweight and practical. Easy to install. Though it did not come in factory boxing as pictured on the Kinetic website. Came in a brown cardboard box wrapped in wax paper. One suggestion is to buy an additional hardware kit to replace any screws with stripped heads and to use your own tools. With the supplied Allen wrenches, the screw heads strip out easily. Otherwise, it’s well made.

game changer

The 6.5" is great, as others have noted. Don't forget your torque limiter. OP has the FIXIT one here and was the best value and precision I could find for this job. Also, if you have any muzzle device, make sure it will fit THRU the MREX before you begin installation. I was able to remove the KDG installed yoke in order to make space for my suppressor mount to fit thru the rail. Line up all your screw holes before you open your Vibratite - the factory yoke is prone to move around when you slide the barrel into the receiver. The rail would get 5 stars if instructions were provided. I checked zero after installation and had only shifted an inch right at 100.

Perfect SCAR upgrade.

I love the extra room this gives you. It gives you a better grip on the barrel, and a better platform to mount a light. Definitely worth the money. The website video greatly helps with installation.

Added much needed rail space / grip area

The KDG receiver extension is very light and well built. It provided extra rail space to install a bipod in a forward position. It also provided space for mounting laser / night vision unit in front of the factory iron sights.

Much needed upgrade to SCAR 17

This is an awesome rail system. Installed it in about 15 minutes. Plenty of rail space where you need it. The only complaint I have is that it sit rather close to the barrel and it didn’t allow for placement of the supplied Picatinny rail where I needed it for vertical grip. Other than that it’s money well spent.

KDG extension for Scar 16

It’s a nice addition, material is great. But was hoping that the color matched the upper it does not. It is the same color as the stock ( UGG BOOT) FYI. I called both optics, and KDG they said they can’t do anything to “match”. You’d have to return it or go with the the 50 shades of FDE. I’m 50/50 on buying this, I feel 250-300 should match.

Great item. Shitty turnaround time

It took about 5 days for my order to get processed then another 3-4 day for delivery. I had to change my original order from getting a Sig Sauer Juliet FDE magnify scope after waiting from the beginning of April to changing my order in July. Cause I wasn’t going receive the item till mid September. Beware this store says they have things when they don’t. I checked the sig site and they don’t carry a FDE magnification scope. No one does but this company. The mrex rail will be my last purchase from this company till the can change their shipping speed and have a ready to ship stock on hand.

Scar MREX rail

This is a great addition to your scar. I purchased while it was on sale and after installing I wish I had bought it sooner. Easy install and makes for a better feel of the rifle. It skins down the front of the gun and allows extra area for accessories. It also allows the bi pod to sit further forward.

Kdg mrex rail

The mrex is very sleek and durable, made to handle the scar platforms. I went with the mlok rails, which looked better of my 17 then the picatinny. The you tube video was extremely helpful for the install and tales you step by step through the process.
