The pin is easier to install on new builds and fits nice and flush up against the bolt carrier.
Cons:
- Need bit of leverage to get it out

Did not like the Carter keys that go in the bolt carrier too hard to put in . This is an Awesome product easy to use.

When my original cotter pin got distorted enough to be difficult to insert, I bought this fancy version thinking it was a low cost but durable replacement. Goes in easily and seemed to fit well, but here I am about 200 rounds later and I have to replace it. For whatever reason, it will not stay in the bcg, and just falls out. Fortunately this didn’t happen during a critical period. I will avoid these in the future and will not recommend them to anyone else.

Not a very good product. Maybe it would have been smarter if they had just used a threaded bolt with a conical nut, but whatever the reason, this was near impossible to initially get into the bolt carrier, and now it falls out when the BCG is but tipped on its side. I guess that's fine when it's inside the receiver, but as soon as you take it out, it's easily lost. The reusability concept is nice, but if you lose it, it doesn't matter how reusable it is.

Ive put about 700 rnds of anmo through my rifle while using this pin and I havnt had any issues. Seems to be well made and better than stock pin. I knocked 1 star off because it can be a pain sometimes getting the pin to line up but usually after couple trys it goes right in
Pros:
- well made
- EASY INSTALL
- KNS Brand
Cons:
- Can Be Hard To Get Lined Up

I do not recommend this retaining pin from KNS; fit is too tight. One of the tabs broke off when I tried to install it. I went back to search and found the original Stoner design retaining pin online at Iron City Rifle Works. You get two for the price of one (Of one the KNS pins) and it fit beautifully and is easy to remove and re-install during cleaning. Win! Win!

... but it would be nice if it A) fit properly and B) did not break during installation. It fit extremely tightly on initial installation and one of the tabs on the tip broke off without ever being fully installed let alone used at all. I suppose I'll buy regular cotter pins in bulk for what this cost.

I don't know how these are in stock. It's such a great upgrade to any BCG. Those retaining pins are a huge pain in the butt and these KNS pins are a life saver. It's not just a matter of convenience - the KNS pins are also sturdier than regular retaining pins. Buy them before I have them all.

Better off buying literally any other retaining pin. Will not go into my bolt carrier regardless of what I do. Package says easy installation, buy will not install at all. Completely useless and not even good enough to be a paper weight.
Cons:
- Dosent work like it should

It's a retainer pin replacement that sits sort of flush with the bottom of the retainer pin divot. I don't expect it to come loose any time soon since it has such a tight fit, so I suppose if you're looking for a cotter pin replacement, this would be the way to go.
