Yes and no...
The nitriding on the detents was uniform and deep black in color. No rust spots, no pitting, sized properly, no issues with the product itself. What does bother me slightly is that OP sells these as singles, as in one purchase gets you ONE detent...when I have previously purchased KNS detents, the baggie always came with TWO, which is what I thought I was buying.

Mine had rust
For being made of stainless steel with nitride treatment, they had rust on them. Not sure how likely that is, but it's there. It is not discoloration from the treatment. Either buy some extras just in case, or go with the plated detents that usually come in lower parts kits.
