Good clarity, poor build quality.
I have this optic mounted on my Savage Model 10 chambered in .308. After 2 times at the range, the reticle has canted 45 degrees. It’s covered under warranty, but it’s a hassle to dismount it, ship it, wait, then re-mount it. I’ll be saving up for a higher quality optic and I suggest you do the same...

just up dating, just received 2 more 7277's ! i have nothing but great to say for them. good clear scope. have no problem with them holding their zero .still no luck on getting sun shades. you would think konus would get what the customer wants. so much for their customer service.

i have several of these scopes. very good for oates and p-dogs. everything works as it should. they are mounted on .223 up to .308, no problems. a very good deal for the bucks ! it is a shame you can`t get a sunshade for them! maybe konus will change this policy.

konus scope

Konus pro 550
I purchased this scope and one or two others from my local gun store and I've had nothing but problems with this one. Originally I purchased it for a 308 and the reticle ended up turning 90 degrees. I returned it to the store and they gave me another one but I had already purchased a vortex to replace it. So I put this scope on my 25-06 long range rifle and it wouldn't shoot good at all. Found that when I turn the power up it was turning the reticle as well. I'm not happy with this scope at all. This is 2 times now that the scope has broke and I no longer have faith in it. I have 2 other konus on small caliper guns (22LR & 17HMR) and they seem to work fine. The warranty seems good but its still a hassle to send them back and wait plus the ammo I've wasted sighting them in only to have the scopes be junk. I will be switching them all to vortex very soon.

Excellent brightness
Even if you use this scope in low light conditions, it seems that it have the ability to "catch" the few light that is spreading. Good optical quality. Excellent price for value. Never be disappointed by a Konus scope.

Review update
This is an update to my previous review. I now have shot 250-300 rounds with this KonusPro and it is still working great, good clarity, bright in low light conditions, no shift in reticle. The scope windage adjustment works smoothly but the elevation knob is stiff. I do not think this scope will "shoot the square" but for the money it has performed very well. Just shot a 1.5 inch, 6 shot group at 200 yards and that included a quarter minute angle windage adjustment for shots 4 thru 6 using my pet load of 168 ELD's and AA2520 in my Savage FCP 308.

Sturdy looking build
It appears sturdy. I liked it. But first shot reticle cants and continues to rotate 1-2 degrees per shot. As it is lifetime guaranteed, they didn’t respond to email or phone so I just mailed it in 11$ postage on brand new junk. Right before deer season. It’s been a week. Hope I get one back....

the scope seems well made. clarity at low magnification was decent. at higher magnification that was not the case. the scope became so cloudy as to be unusable at beyond 9 power.
the controls operated smoothly and the turrets had a positive click to them.

GOOD SCOPE!
Mounted this scope on my Savage 10 FCP 5R 308. After numerous trips to the range I can say this is a quality scope. It and my Savage will shoot sub minuet of angle at 200 yards all day long. It is bright and very clear better than my Nikon's and Weaver's, the only down side is it is a long scope and being 50mm I had to use high mounts to clear the barrel. Over all I am very happy with the purchase.

lota bang for the buck
No it's not a Night Force. I would not buy this if I were jumping out of helocopters. If you want a scope you can see a .22 hole at 100yards then this is for you. I have five of them and all are on ultra accurate 10/22'S I don"t need a spotting scope using one of KonusPro 4-16x50mm Riflescopes. The clarity is superb. The adjustible objective is easy to use and the focus knob is also easy to use. All in all I am delighted with the optical clarity.
You can actually shoot flies at 30 yards with this scope and a high end 10/22. Think the clarity of leopold on a beer budget!
