This is not a 6” hand guard
The hand guard measures 6 inches with a 1 inch barrel nut adapter. This leaves the total length of 7 inches! I am pissed this isn’t in the description. Wasted my time and money. I am returning it to get something better and that is true to size.
6" handguard REQUIRES an 8" barrel
Good quality but the barrel nut area is much longer than expected and instead of a 7 or 7.5" barrel for the 6" handguard, you MUST run at least an 8" barrel to clear the end. CF layup looks really nice and the mounting is very solid. Be prepared to wait 24hrs for glue to dry when assembling so no 1 afternoon build here.

Solid and Lightweight
Lancer makes a very refined and quality carbon fiber handguard for sure. The finish is nice and smooth, inside and out (I've had other brands with stray carbon threads that give you splinters).
The installation is the only gripe, as it takes a bit of downtime and requires permanent red locktite, BUT it does make for a very solid mount when complete and done correctly.
Overall, I'm happy with mine, and would probably buy another one if I build another rifle.
