I bought one of these for my range bag and and because of the way it was constructed, and the useful assortment of tools it offers, I bought another one for my shooting buddy’s birthday. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t enjoy getting one of these quality tools as a gift. Leatherman has done it again!

Bought this for my wifee to put in her 5.11 MOAB which is in the car. I carry a Gerber but wanted Leatherman for her. I researched the Wave and saw it had good reviews and I liked that it has small screwdriver for eyeglasses. It seems to be robust enough and it is easier to open up some of the smaller tools than my Gerber. Though I haven't used it for much I think it is a good tool for her. Sheath has velcro but would prefer a better flap cover with a good snap. Not a fan of velcro type. Maybe she will stop using my Gerber! A bit pricey, but hopefully you get what you pay for.

This is my favorite EDC multi-tool is awesome lighting compared to other ones in the medium duty but over all recommend to anyone looking for an awesome multi-tool, now if you want a heavy duty tool get the Leatherman Surge is the big brother of the WaveI'd not practical for EDC because is about 12oz heavy but an excellent tool.

I ordered the black Leatherman Wave with Molle sheath. This is my 4th purchase of a Leatherman Wave. Though they are a bit pricey, they are very useful. Favorite features are the locking blades and the sissors. This particular Leatherman came over-oiled and took a bit of time to clean (issue for Leatherman to solve). Because of this cleaning issue, I now prefer the stainless steel finish over the black finish. Accurate order placement and on time delivery by OpticsPlanet.

Bought the wave tool 6 months ago, soon started to wonder why i had not done it sooner.
This tool is excellent, i carry and use it daily, along with the bit kit it has everything i need, saves a lot of time not having to go get tools for the small jobs.
I am a mechanic and also do some boating, this tool has proved itself numerously.
This is a high quality durable tool.
I would advise getting the leather sheath, the nylon one did not work for me, kept opening up while carrying it, the leather sheath has good secure closing, i have used it on the ocean and it can take the saltwater, just rinse it off and dry, use some leather grease to lengthen the life of the sheath.
When/if this one breaks or gets lost i will be getting another one the same day.

After being in the construction industry for many years, I have purchased the Wave tool as my first Leatherman, and only have one real gripe. Why didn't I have one of these tools earlier. It has relieved a condition that many construction workers have; over-stuffed, heavy pockets. I no longer carry pockets full of dedicated tools on the job. This one tool takes care of the dozens of little tasks that pop up on a daily basis.

I can't say that the tool is perfect, but it comes close. I would like to see replaceable wire cutter blades like the Supertool has, but it isn't a deal breaker. If I need to cut much, I'll grab a pair of linemans from the truck. The blades are great and hold an edge for a reasonable period. I really like seperate blades for serrated and fine edges. The bit holder is a great idea as well, as I use the tool as a quickly accessible screwdriver as much as anything, and am hard on my tools. The bit holder allows this hard use and won't leave a tool with a mangled useless dedicated screwdrives someday.

Overall, this is a great tool to have on my side.

Cons: Durability?

Great tool to have on you when an emergency quick fix arises where something needs to be tighten, cut,or trimmed to get you moving on.
Pros: compact, weather resistance, handy and useful - easily deployable for use
Cons: shealth can be more fitted for the multi-tool
