Tenebraex ARD Anti-Reflection Devices
While the price would suggest looking for other options, I suggest using this device. You can add on the appropriate Butler Creek cap and keep the honeycomb protected and clean when not in use. It would have been nice to thread both ends of this device. You can use color filters which will also allo...

Nice Concept, Poor Execution
I ordered this thinking that at least it has a metal honeycomb baffle and that at least that's durable even though it's enclosed in plastic. I got the ARD 10 min. ago and put it on my scope and I don't like the fit of the threads; there loose so you have to tighten it down good. At first look of the...

great product, & high quality
Very durable, great engineering, doesn’t impede on reticle. Also helps eliminate any obstructions from iron sights or mounted accessories. It’s threaded to the front of the scope & is a perfect fit. Highly recommend.

- great design

Great Anti-Reflection Device
This item does exactly what it is supposed to do. The lock up is great, and was easy to install with a perfect fit. An absolute must for stalking and tactical applications.

Leupold Mark 4 Riflescope Tenebrax ARD for Leupold Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8X36 mm, (MPN 62875)
I purchased one of these ARD's for a Mark 4 MR/T 2.5-8X26, M2, Ill, Model 112633, scope that will go mon MK12 Mod 0 build. The objective lense on these scopes are threaded, but the photo here on OP depicts the ARD as being a snap-on/push-on type ARD. The MPN I purchased for my particular scope was 62875 (36mm). When it arrived it was the correct threaded version. Once screwed on you have approximately 1" that is added to the objective end of the scope. These ARD's do come in a grayish black color that maybe discolored in some sections. However, once you put your flip up cover on (if you choose to) only 1/2" is exposed. The objective flip up cover will be loose and come off easily. What I did was cut 6 1/4"X1/4" strips of black electrical tape and layered them in 3 sections on the end of the ARD then slid my Leupold objective flip cap on and its very tight. If you want it even tighter you add another layer to the 3 sections. With this improvisation the flip cap stays on very tight, will screw the ARD off if you start turning it and I'm still able to utilize my OEM objective flip cap effectively. For me the ARD serves two purposes: 1. it serves its intended purpose as an ARD and as a 1" sunshade (looks cool too). It does add 1" to the end of the scope, so if you purchase a Leupold scope cover get the large model 57868 (larger) instead off the medium 57866. The medium scope cover fits very tight with an ARD and its a pain to get off and on. Leupold makes great scope covers that a...

tenebraex anti reflection unit

Handy and light
This ARD was my first one. I'm used to using the metal shade tubes. The shade tubes are, in their own right, very effective and handy, but they add more length to the over-all scope size than I like. This ARD is short, very light, excellent quality ( typical of Leupold) and very effective. I get the functional benefit while eliminating a longer appendage on my scope. I do believe they are a little pricey, though. All-in-all, I am very pleased with it.
Pros:
- light and compact
- provides very effective shading
Cons:
- a little on the pricey side

Tenebraex ARD Anti-Reflection
Fit is great, no problems clean appearance, dull grey/black finish. tried this on 2 different brands of 50mm scopes and it fit perfectly. I have purchased other brands that have had issues with the fit and cross threading problems, none here.
Pros:
- Fit
Cons:
- price
Would recommend: Yes
Nice Addition
I use this on my 50mm spotting scope for bird watching, I was concerned that sunlight reflection would attract birds attention and possible scare them away. So far, so good! The birds do not seem to be bothered and do not notice my presence. So I guess it is working as advertised! It fit nicely on my Leupold 50mm spotting scope and does not affect the clarity of the view, I really like this feature!

Glare no more
Works great, removes all the glare. The threads on mine have a rough spot that makes one think it could be cross threaded but slow and gently past and it spins all the way with only finger tips as it should. The fine threads make me leery of that I would prefer courser quarter or half turn type. Perhaps I have an old style.

Mark 4 ARD
Overall I liked the product and although it did not fit my older Leupold scope I kept it since I plan to purchase a newer scope in the near future
Pros: great quality and functionally it works.
Cons: Although the product says it will work on Leopold sporting scopes it did not fit my 20 year old Vari-X 3. it may on newer models

Works as advertised
The outside diameter of this product was slightly smaller than the outside diameter of my scope (Leupold Mark IV) so my slip-on flip-up scope cover no longer snugly fit on the end of my scope. I had to wrap a few layers of black electrical tape around this product to make up the diameter difference.
The product was also a black fiberglass looking material so it didn't blend with the glossy metal finish of the rest of the weapon. Overall the product works as described and I'd still recommend it.
Pros: short, light, causes no noticeable "tint" in scope view.
Cons: diameter discrepancy, finish.
