Fast target acquisition
This is my first 1.5x5. The VX HD3 is incredibly clear, eye relief is great, and it is obvious that this is a great fast acquisition scope. It was odd getting something other than a 3x9, but this seemed more versatile for tracking/ground shots.
Not enough elevation adjustment
Mounted this scope on a Henry then on a Ruger. Neither of these scenarios allowed for enough elevation adjustment. Had to add shims to the back ring. (Not a good practice). Never had to do this before. I purchased two of these scopes. I have had to add shims to both scope and ring set ups. The elevation adjustment is a spring loaded button that you push in and turn (really cool). However, it only has 3/4" turn total. Still trying to get it to work. Just purchased another 3x9 standard rifle scope, hopefully no issues.

The best non-illuminated LPVO
Easily the best non-illuminated LPVO I’ve ever owned, and I’ve gone through dozens these past ten years. Crystal clear glass, indestructible, and the locking turret is dynamite. Pair this with Leupold’s aluminum flip caps and their rock solid cantilever mount and you’re good to go.
