Why run all these fancy high mounts when the carry handle is already the perfect height?
Plenty of real estate for any red dot you could want. Hasn't shifted on me yet, nor has my optic shifted on the Pic rail. So far, I'm happy with it and the money I saved over more expensive carry handle mounting solutions. Not sure how it would hold up to abuse, but I don't plan on torture testing mine.
Will update this review if it breaks or my satisfaction level changes.
M16 carrying handle accessory rail
It fits perfectly on the carrying handle. I was able to install a vortex hunting scope with no issues other than The mounting bolt does like to back out if not torqued to a significant amount. Maybe thread locker would help.

good for the money
Solid mount. Affordable. Seems to he sturdy. Recommend blue loctite on the screw as with any of these kind of mounts. Not as light as others but still allows use of irons. So fits the bill.

Best Carryhandle Mount
All my ARs have Carryhandles. Most have Scopes to accurately aim hundreds of yards.
The first few were this 2-3 rail overhang type so they needed to be trimmed with a saw.
The see thru box mount is perfect as is & functions to either change with the bottom bolt
or with QD scope ring mounts. It 'handles the job' very well.
