Have had the vault for just over a month and the lock jams or gets stuck almost every time when I enter the code and try to open it. The latch that keeps it locked rubs and does not fully open when I turn the switch, it gets about half way and stops, but not far enough to open. I really like the design and prefer the mechanical locks over electronic, but this one is not working well.

I first learned of this product well over two years ago and have been trying to procure same since April of 2015. This was not OP's fault as the manufacturer seemed to have a recurring multitude of problems in getting product manufactured and distributed. Finally got two this month, that's what you call a backorder.

I planned to use this to secure a personal defense weapon for rapid retrieval if needed. Biometric devices have their place but I wanted the simplicity and reliability of a Simplex lock system this is purely mechanical.

It has exceeded my expectations in most every respect. It's rugged, well-built, has interior LED light that activates on opening and has produced the weapon without fail on each trial.

The only negative is the advertised mounting hardware was missing in each instance and the instructions for setting your personal combination could stand to employ a tad more clarity. Other than that, two thumbs up!
