Most Helpful Positive Review Glock 42 threaded barrel
Great quality. Fine detail work. The barrel is easy to install and fit is just right. The threads are a good fit. Shipping was quick and packaging was protective. Price was good for this product. Thanks!
Most Helpful Negative Review Does not feed
Cycled by hand and every single round jammed on entry into barrel. Never tested by actually firing weapon. The manufacturer says that these barrels will be a tighter fit for more accuracy but it simply is too tight to feed rounds into chamber without jamming.

A very good barrel for the price.

by Dave, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on November 18, 2023
I bought this barrel for my Glock 42 so that I would have more options as to the type of bullet that I hand load into my once fired casings. After making 50 hard lead alloy bullets of my usual weight, primer and powder charge, I took the pistols with the new barrel installed to the range for a test firing. It functioned perfectly with no failure to feed or stove pipe incidents. Accuracy was also very good when compared to my original Glock barrel's previously fired targets. I would buy this barrel again as it gave me more options for my reloading as to type of bullet.
Pros:
  • Good value and accurate.
Cons:
  • Would like to have it in polished stainless steel.
Best Used for:
  • Any type of target practice.

Ton of machine cutting marks left on the feed ramp. For 200$...come on...

by Forgeweld, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on March 3, 2022
I thought I could clean up the feed ramp with 1200 grit sand paper and scotch brite, but The surface of the feed ramp is uneven and there are a bunch of cut marks groves in it. So now I'm down to 500 grit paper and I've been sanding on it for like 15 minutes. I expect more quality for 200$!!
Pros:
  • Threads seem well cut.
Cons:
  • Poor machine work on feed ramp

Perfect fit

by Jermalize, from TX, United States Written on October 22, 2021
Perfectly replaced original barrel and has no issues cycling most ammo. Steel cased Monarch ammo does not cycle through it properly but that's okay since it gives you opportunity to practice clearing malfunctions.
Pros:
  • Ease of insallation
Cons:
  • Words printed on incorrect side
Would recommend: Yes

Always check your guide rod in spring weight!!!

by Scott, from WI, United States Written on October 5, 2021
I've seen many reviews about how this barrel has too tight of tolerances and I've seen this about other barrels as well. People have got to make sure that they have the right guide rod and spring weight! You can't just drop it in and shoot a full magazine without first ensuring your guide rod and spring weight is correct or it will not cycle properly. If you are using a bushing because you have a newer generation, make sure that it's a good quality bushing from a good quality company. The Glock store in my opinion has the best bushings as they click and place rather than just sit freely in the slide. You don't have to take the guide rod apart to install a bushing and then screw it back in with loctite. You simply click the bushing in place, install your guide rod and then test the cycle by firing off a few rounds. I fire a 9mm Glock 19 Gen 5 and I can tell you from my experiences with the newer generation model that everything is about the guide rod in spring weight which could range for me anywhere from 11 lb to 15 lb when using a compensator and if the barrel is not cycling properly as a standalone I would highly recommend testing other guide rod and spring weights to be sure before judging the barrel itself. I don't own a lone wolf barrel, but I do own a velocity mod 2 from killer innovations, kkm precision and faxon firearms. Those are three of the top five barrels you can possibly get for a 9mm. Unfortunately Zev technologies currently doesn't make one for the Gen 5, but...

Threaded Glock 42 Barrel

by Dan, from KY, United States Written on February 26, 2021
The only things it did correctly was drop in to the slide and allow the silencer to thread onto it. Because of the extremely tight tolerances of the chamber, it wouldn’t! Every shot was a FTF, with or without the silencer attached. Pull back on the slide slightly and it would chamber a round. And this pistol has never failed to fire or eject. Lone Wolf needs to rethink designing a ‘match grade’ aftermarket barrel for a small concealed pistol. I would never carry it with their barrel installed. I would only use to target shoot and it defeats the purpose of turning an auto loader into a straight slide single shot! I returned it for another. If I have the same problem with the replacement barrel, I’ll just ask for a refund and so much for that little project!
Pros:
  • Nice idea.
Cons:
  • Does not work as it should
Best Used for:
  • Looks only.
