This stock has extra polymer type fins that require trimming with a razor knife. These fins give a tight fit with no sloppy excess movement when the stock is installed into your lower receiver. Take your time when fitting this stock to your rifle. It's an excellent produce and you'll be very satisfied.

Its a nice addition to my ak definitely worth the purchase. My only complaint is that one of the screws was to short for my ak so need to purchase a 10x24x.5 allen head bolt. Other than that I like the look and feel or this stock.

Replaced a wobbly tapco stock on a Saiga 7.62 conversion. Prefer metal but this Magpul polymer is very sturdy and relatively lightweight. I found a more suitable screw for the mount and used blue thread lock. After hundreds of rounds it’s still holding very securely with no wobble. Still debating going m4 style stock for adjustability but I have no regrets with this one!

Nice brace but did not fit my PSAK47 GF3 as it should. Had to grind it down, screws were too short, had to find longer ones, etc. Turned out to be quite the project unnecessarily. I cannot recommend for AR platform unless you are a gunsmith and even then??

I have installed quite a few AK stocks over the years. Most have required a bit of "fitting" but the one thing all of them have had in common (except for this one) is TWO freakin' screws to install them. Magpul was like, "nah, that's lame". If I had bothered to read the reviews first, I would not have been surprised to see a hardware package that would make IKEA give 2 thumbs up. Except I think IKEA would include some spares. Most complaints about this stock are that one of the screws is too short (same experience here) and that the weld nuts are prone to stripping. So far, that's not an issue. I did have to make a trip to the CO-OP to buy ONE screw to complete this install. At least there was no filing required. But talk about over-engineering a product!! I actually like the way the stock feels, but I have to remove a star for a few complaints. First of all, if the short screw is an issue, they should include a longer one just in case. Also, there is a QR code printed both on the box, and inside the box for installation instructions. Now this might just be some nitpicking on my part, but it would really be nice if that QR code took you to the directions for your particular model, instead of a link where you have to scroll down to find it. C'mon Magpul. Do better. The model is PRINTED ON THE BOX for FOX sake! If you're going to the trouble of printing separate boxes for different models, you can come up with individual QR codes as well.

After about 1500 rounds something broke and came loose where the bolt holds the stock in. The stock wouldnt stay tight after that.

The screw came with the stock is way too short for my WASR AK. You can get them at very affordable price at hardware stores. I got from HD 4 for $1.5 delivered, stainless steel, and it is not visible, so I didn't blue it.

Lighter weight than the default stock and supports risers to get better cheek weld when using raised optics. Only downside is it leaves about a 3mm gap on the underside due to different AK design tolerances. That and Magpul you really couldn't include the different size risers? Come on.

I did have a little trouble getting the stock fully seated and lined up properly but it's nearly flush and I'm happy with the outcome and looks great on my PSA gf3

Love this product, had to file some things down to fit, but other than that I recommend. I love how it looks and made it lighter too.
