Most Helpful Negative Review Does Not Work With Some Featureless Grips & Some Buffer Tubes.
If you live in a states, like NY & CA, that requires featureless grip such as Sparrow Dynamics or Resurgent Arms ... you will not have enough space to fit your thumb. Magpul Carbine Fixed Stock

I was very pleased with this purchase. The stock is solid, fits like a glove and doesn't rattle like the six-position factory stock that came with the rifle.The length of the stock was perfect for me but it may be short for someone with longer arms though Magpul does offer larger recoil pads to give it extra length.

Missing essential part

I'll be the one to write a negative review. Look the photo here on opticsplanet shows the QD hole in shadow so you cant see well. The actual Magpul box outer photo photo shows the metal QD insert installed! Imagine my surprise when I tried to connect my QD sling to the hole. Oops, not included, and with no warning. Now I see I have to buy another part that is almost half the cost of the stock itself and then wait for shipping and install it. Either that or make a return. Product quality is still yet to be determined. Listen, Magpul, there are a lot of good plastic part makers for ARs. Deception gets you dinged, thanks for the poor experience.

Can be difficult

Bought this for a straight walled build for state regulation hunting. Mil-Spec tubes did not work correctly with this stock, until I removed the butt plate. Even at that point was very difficult to install far enough to get the tension bolt in. Not a big deal for me since I have threaded spring plug under butt plate. But I did not anticipate having to remove entire stock to get this installed. Other than that, it’s pretty solid and looks good on my rifle. I do think I’d would have rather had the version with cheek rest.

Perfect for making a lower receiver featureless in California. Comes with 2 spacers. Only one dislike: The shoulder pad is plastic, not rubber.
