Excellent Training Tool
I have been using a MantisX system for awhile and the only complaint I ever had was having to reset the action manually. For pistols you could use the DryFireMag but there was no solution for rifles.
The Blackbeard is that solution. So easy to use, just replace the BCG and insert the magazine battery pack. Not only is it easy to install, but it provides a continuous visual confirmation that the firearm cannot be loaded with live ammunition. Besides being a great dry fire tool, the Blackbeard is an excellent safety training tool when getting a new shooter used to the AR15 platform.
The battery pack offers excellent run time. I have used it for hundreds of shots in a single session and barely used any battery. I currently charge it after 5 or 6 sessions but even then, the battery is not fully depleted. So far I have well over 1000 trigger pulls while using the Blackbeard and I can humbly say it has helped me improve my rifle skills.
The responsiveness and frequency is excellent for me. You may be able to outrun the device with a super light, match trigger but in my experience that is not an issue with even lighter combat triggers.
The visual feedback laser is great for seeing your hits, helping train shot calling, or interacting with laser trainer programs like the MantisX Laser Academy. I find it especially helpful with training to account for mechanical offset on closer range targets.

QC issues but works as advertised
The battery pack would not work with my laser bolt unless held against the receiver with rubber bands.
Mantis customer service was amazing and shipped a replacement pack no questions asked.
Overall the fit and finish of the product is poor, but the product works great as advertised.

Great product
I love this thing great for teaching people how to get cited in also, it works with other red laser, digital targets that you can buy on Amazon that light up when you hit them so you can set them up around the house and do some actual training and moving around practicing corners that sort of thing really fun

Doesn't work well
Works for a few shots, then gets stuck. Looked up online to lube part of the mantis. It did not fix the problem. I probably have a bad one.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VERSION
After reviewing the video, I purchased this, when it arrived, I was excited only to find out this version does not work without buying a bunch of targets and a different app. Mantis has a different package that works with their app and uses any type of targets. Optics planet doesn't sell that one. I had to go to Mantis and buy a different magazine that has to proper interface that will work with the standard mantisx app.

Outstanding training tool
I love the entire Mantis system. It is a wonder training tool and have recommended it to many people. The Blackbeard fl system for the ar15 platform works great. No issues so far with many hours of use

badass training tool
Definitely one of my favorite training aids that I have purchased in in a long time that not only makes training cheaper and dry drilling even better you get to play with your very expensive trigger that you should’ve already bought from optics planet. But really the battery charge is fast. The cycling is a little bit slower than actual firearm cycling, which is fine. You just have to slow down for a little bit. Everything seems to be well built. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking into it.

Very well done
I have only used this for a week or so, but it works great with my Smokeless Range simulator with the IR laser. It is very accurate and functions great. I have a scope with an illuminated reticle, and it works great against the projection screen. Very pleased.

Not bad...
Four things that I have noticed: 1. This fake "bcg" doesn't let your hammer rest in the normal, vertical position. So, if you don't use this for some time, then, I suggest swapping this with a real bcg to release the spring tension on your AR's hammer. 2. It was not sighted in at the factory. IDK if it was only my unit, but the laser was shining on the rifling inside my bore when I first got it. 3. This "could" be used as a bore sighter; because there's a little switch to keep the laser constantly on. 4. The "mag" battery charges very slowly. 0-100% took around 15 hours!
