Great for 7mm-08

by Thomas Wood, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on June 17, 2026
The MDT with the binder plate has max OAL of 2.870. For my 7mm-08, I do not have any loads that exceed that length. I could for the all-copper handloads, but don't. I prefer the one with the binder plate to keep everything chambering smoothly for 6.5 CM & 7mm-08.

The MDT without the binder plate has longer max oal OF 2.960. ... Probably needed for PRC & magnums.

Compact mag

by Gunner257, Verified Owner from SD, United States Written on April 28, 2026
I like the mags that don’t stick out much from the mag well in the stock. This protects the mag against some blows which might occur when assuming a supported position.

I put durability against rough handling first with my rifles.
Pros:
  • More protected
Cons:
  • Of course, lower capacity

Great Mag!

by Jerry G., Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on September 3, 2025
Works great with my Sig Cross. I just added a different mag release and it still functions fine. Drops free. I feel they are on par with Magpul 5 rounders. There is a slight weight and height difference. It really boils down to personal preference.
Pros:
  • more compact
Cons:
  • Pricey
Best Used for:
  • Target shooting

Quality but pricey

by Bill on the hill, from PA, United States Written on February 17, 2022
Well made perfect size for hunting. Fits well into magazine well. Positive lockup. Fits both my accs and tac-21 stocks on savage .308. Biggest benefit due to thin wall construction allows bullets to be seated further out over the thick wall polymer magazines. Try these first.
Pros:
  • Thin wall
Cons:
  • pricey (but u get what u pay for)
