MDT MUZZLE BRAKE
This by far is the best muzzle brake on the market. I purchased mine on Dvor for a cheaper price and its well worth it. I tried many brakes on my 6.5 creedmoor AR and could never stay on target. This thing keeps me on target for that most important follow up. Highly recommend.
muzzle break
The only other muzzle break I had was on my ar. And with being in NY, we’re very limited with what we can have so my experience is barely. With that being said, the fit is perfect once you get it working. The quality is top notch. Now the percentage it claims with recoil reduction… I didn’t see it at all. Now I’ve only shot this rifle two times. And it’s the Sig Cross 308 PRS which is extra heavy and meant for precision shooting. So I was thinking, add a muzzle brake and it should be smooth. But that thing had my brain bouncing around my skull! So next time I go, I will shoot no muzzle vs muzzle break to get a clear answer

The fit and finish is top notch! Awesome and innovative design. Super easy install and looks great on my Tikka T3x Tac A1.

surprisingly effective
Put this brake on my 6.5 Creedmore. It has really cut down the recoil and certainly helps me be able to call my own shots. But the most amazing thing about it is the lack of blast that I feel when shooting. I’ve had brakes on a couple of other guns - the most dramatic, a 30-378 Weatherby. The brake on that gun reduced the recoil very effectively, but the sound and the blast was over the top - it would literally part your hair. The MDT folks say they did a lot of research getting the baffles in their brake to direct the sound and blast down range - one of the reasons I purchased this unit. In my opinion, they’ve done an excellent job. I would highly recommend!

AWESOME Performance!
I've always used muzzle brakes (MB/MBs) to increase accuracy, reduce recoil and allow for faster follow-ups. I replaced all but one A2 'flashhider' over the years (left one on a 22lr which came with it pinned), and much data and tests have become available in the last 5 (or so) validating my choices. One such was the VG-6 Gamma (2 chamber) I used on my Savage bolt-action 223 (and other rifles). I always saw smaller groups and felt less recoil compared to "no MB" but several sled, pendulum and sophisticated "total impulse" tests of late have validated that the VG6 Gamma as a good MB. These tests also indicated that this MDT Comp Muzzle Brake was slightly better... thus, I gave it a try. Without a doubt, it IS better at recoil mitigation but it not only shrank group sizes of my Savage 223, it also makes it easier to maintain groups/avoid fliers! YMMV but you can't lose with either...
Pros:
- Good recoil and muzzle rise reduction.
Cons:
- A little pricey unless on sale (all good MBs are $$$, though).

Does not fit threads
The threads for this are not the same as 6mm rifle. I have a brand new rifle and the threads are for the bigger calabar 5/8 x 24 and bullet diameter is bigger than a 223. I couldn't even get the bullet to fit in the end of it. I am now on the search for another muzzle break for my new rifle.
