The best picatinny base I own
Shipping from Optics Planet was fast and hassle-free as usual. Upon receiving it, the quality of the base was evident right away. Felt solid in my hand. The recoil lug was one of the main reasons for purchasing this product as it just makes sense. It also made installing very easy. I was able to push the base all the way forward to where the lug met up with the action and all 4 screws line up perfectly and square. The only complaints I would have (being nitpicky here I think), would be that the torque specs aren't on the packaging. A quick search on MDT's website under their technical help cen...

Solid rail, good quality, tight fit
installation took a few taps with a rubber mallet as the 11mm rail interface was tight, but this is a nice, lightweight, well machined, pic rail. there's a lug that interfaces with the front of the breach to eliminate any risk of the rail shifting under recoil. alignment of the clamping sections to my host cz457 is aesthetically pleasing with no overhanging or exposed sharp edges.

Great rail
Fits my cz457 MTR like a glove! I was not a fan of the Area419 rail for my rifle, not that they make bad products, but the MTR was a much better fit for my needs.

Rifle mount
Built solid, no visible signes of defects. The finish is good and seems durable. I did not check the measurements to make sure it was squarely made. Im sure it would check out fine. It comes with torx screws.

Installed on my Savage M110 Precision 338LM. Came with MDT chassis and with their 20moa rail. After sight in, logged click adjustments and found scope was close to the center of total adjustment. Replaced with this MDT 40moa rail and am now close to the bottom of the scope adjustment range allowing more elevation adjustments for longer ranges. Rail is identical to the factory rail removed. Bolted on with ease and works as expected. Highly recommend. New rail came with 2 sets of screws, I used the larger set, 8-40, screws with loctite.

Solid Base for CZ 527
Picatinny Rail bases for the CZ 527 are difficult to find. The MDT base is solid, easy to install and just what I need for my CZ setup.
I subtracted one star because it is 6061 aluminum instead of 7075, which would make the base almost perfect.

Nice Picatinny Rail
No complaints here. Put it on a Remington 40x short action 22LR. Fit and finish was great. I also have a couple Area 419 rails. Other than the bubble level in the back which I never use, this rail seems to be as nice. Nice that they sent both 6-48 and 8-40 screws. I'd buy again.
