Needed a replacement after losing front sight. Trijicon quit producing replacement sights for S&W Sigma pistols. Tried Meprolight and I am pleased. Easy to see in daylight or darkness, the three dot sights are quick to line up. Shipping was very fast. Good price through Optics Planet.
Pros:
- Price
- Easy to install
- Warranty
- bright

If you plan on using your Smith and Wesson revolver as an Everyday Carry gun, and you want the versatility of having adjustable day and night sights, now you have it!
They glow bright at night, and provide a great, 3 Dot sight picture, with the rear sights being fully adjustable. They work equally as well during daylight hours.
The adjustments allow to adjust for 38 SPL and 357 Magnum ammunition, as well as different bullets weights and types.
Cons:
- have it professionally installed. t
- the front sights can become loose.

if you go to the meprolight website, pn ML-12740 is for the sigma sw9ve. meprolight has a different pn for the sd9ve ML-11766. i have a sw9ve, took a chance and ordered. it fits perfectly!! love it!! sights for sw9ve very hard to find, so i really am happy. ps, any glock sight will fit front, with a little filing.

I bought item ML2771G for my N frame Smith & Wesson 629. As others have stated this install is for the experienced. First you have to use a #54 drill bit if you want to re-use the factory pin. My experience with that tiny bit wasnt a good one so i decided on using a 1/16 drillbit in hopes i can find a 1/16 pin.
The front sight doesnt have the same pattern below as factory sights so you will have to carefully drill another hole behind the factory one and slightly higher for the pin to catch otherwise you are out of luck.
Next the rear sight. The spanner wrench i had didnt fit the captured bolt so i made my own spanner using a 3/16 slotted screw driver that i grinded down the middle with a dremel. Next your will notice the slotted screw is now too big to fit inside the rear sight housing so i used a 15/64 drill bit and expanded the hole just deep enough so the slotted screw would fit inside.
The end result is a nice looking tritium sight thats plenty bright at night.
Overall there limited options for revolvers so yes I would recommend these as they are superior to factory original but if youre installing these yourself thread carefully and take your time. Otherwise i could see a higher premium if you were to get these done by a gun smith

I paid a gunsmith to put it on (not many left for S&W revolvers.
Looks great and certainly has helped me dry firing in the house.
I havent taken it to the range yet, but I have not doubts they have been installed correctly.
I took a star off (probably should take two), they are not easy to install correctly, according to what Ive seen in YT vids.
If you know what you're doing when installing, then I definitely recommend these.

False advertising by Meprolight - THIS DOES NOT FIT ALL K, L AND N FRAMES. Newer ones use a plunger style front sight that fits into a detent, with the pin on top of the plunger, as opposed to being pinned through it. Meprolight needs to update their compatibility.
Best Used for:
- OLDER K, L and N frame revolvers

The front sight is no where near as advertised. There is hardly any illumination whatsoever. You can barely make out the Green even in a darkened room. I would not recommend this product. The product advertised a green glow but in natural like it doesn’t exist.

Bought 3 sets for a M&P Shield 9 and 45 and for a standard M&P 9. The 45 was tough to get the original sights out with a sight pusher but all 3 installed normally. The same brightness as my stock HK VP40 meprolights. Price was a no-brainer on all 3 sets from Optics Planet.

Great bright sight. Bought the front years ago, nice to find the matching rear On Sale! and for such a reasonable price. Instation with a sight pusher was a breeze. Now my SIGMA SW40VE modifications are complete.

I bought these sights because my old sights were scratching the stock of my rifle while hunting and I was looking for a sight that wasn't so sharp. I would recommend watching the YouTube video first before changing these sights but it is very easy after watching the video.
