Most Helpful Positive Review night sight
Very good illuminated sight for low light or night shooting. I like the two different intensities of them. However I have tried to communicate with meprolight three times via email over three weeks ago. Zero response. Maybe we should see how easy it is to contact these companies before purchasing ...

Most Helpful Negative Review Rear sight is worthless imo
The front sight is nice and bright although the rear sight might as well not have any mods at all, can barely see the small inserts. Could have used better illustrated instructions especially with the rear sight removal. You will need a very small punch to take out a small retaining pin in the winda...

best night sights for the price.

I've been using these sights as upgrades for fifteen years. Meprolights glow for longer than their warranty. These are just as durable as Trijicon products. I've always been pleased with Meprolight sights.

Reinvented the wheel

by The HUNK, from TX, United States Written on February 17, 2026
This front sight aperture can't use standard tools to install, because they extended the sight to the rear, versus leaving space for a tool. The result is your spending hours using a small punch to install or remove it one click at a time, scratching your front sight base in the process. You expect more common sense from the Israelis.

BUY TRIJICON and enjoy easy installation and removal.

defective front sight

by Gun Enthusiast, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on December 12, 2025
I bought the mepro true dot sight set. I installed the mepro front sight pin carefully onto a Troy fixed front sight, using a front sight tool. I took it to the range to sight it in and fired 10 rounds. When I looked at the target sheet, I noticed that the bullet holes were all extremely low, which seemed strange to me. When I inspected the front sight, I noticed that the upper part of the front sight pin that spins and holds the tritium had elevated about an eighth of an inch up off the rest of the front sight pin. When I touched the top of the front side pin, it slid back down. I discovered that it slides up and down and is therefore defective. I contacted optics planet and they referred me to mepro. Mepro took my information and then completely ignored me, despite a further email asking what the problem was. Mepro does not back up their warranty for manufacturing defects. I will never buy another mepro product ever again.

Didn't use, but will keep, as the sight picture was clear and not overly bright.

The tritium tubes were on the smaller size as to not overwhelm the longer sight vs pistol. It didn't fit my Midwest Industries "+" alignment. Needs a "x" alignment to keep tritium dot to front. Cheaper to get trijicon post rather than new buis.

Rear sight illumination is non-existent.

by Brian, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on November 1, 2025
Should of bought just the front sight, at a lot less cost. The illumination of the four dots on the rear sight are just about non-existent.
Also, the manufacturer should include a front sight tool. None of mine even fit over the blade. Since the upper part of the sight rotates independently of the of the base, it makes installation/adjustment more difficult than necessary.

good night sights

by mav88user, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on November 6, 2024
A good set of night sights. Easy to install but the rear aperture is installed backwards compared to a normal sight. Something to keep in mind, the large peep sight is the first one on this.

  • EASY INSTALL
