Great for Suppressor Shooting
Written on May 01, 2026
I have used this on a 10.3 with a high back pressure can. Its great at keeping the gas out of my face when shooting.
Only time I notice gas to the face is if you are right up the charging handle for Irons or something. Otherwise it keeps it well away from you.
Looks cool too, does not stick into your chest when slung either. Not too big or bulk and won't catch. Actually, a really nice charging handle.

great trigger

Review for
LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger
My go to trigger for all my rifles. It’s not that expensive compared to other ones and it’s just amazing.
Once you use it, you’ll never want to use a stock trigger again.

easy solid and light quad rail
Written on Feb 02, 2025
I used this on a 20 inch rifle with a FN government barrel.
I did took it apart fully to put this on but you don’t have to. The Dremel method is the official way and does work fine. I just don’t actually own a dremel so I did it the long way.
Be sure to use a torque screw driver (25 FT/LBS) and the included vibritight. After you have it aligned to your satisfaction of course.
It’s quite light for what it is. Compared to a free float mlok rail of the same length. It’s Only a few ounces more in weight.
The QD points are great for slings too. I’ve got a mid length one order for a second rifle. Waiting on a QD bipod mount to complete it.

Complete Failure of an Upper
Written on Nov 23, 2024
Review for
Spikes Tactical 5.56 Midlength Lightweight Forged 14.5in Upper Receiver w/Vortex Flash Hider
Ok let’s get started here. Do not buy this upper or any other from spikes. I’ve learned my lesson.
The barrel is either torqued to well over 100 foot pounds or they didn’t use any anti seize.
The gas tube is misaligned so the bolt gas key is striking it. So that’s how I found this all out. I figured I could quickly fix the alignment but nope. It’s hard seized. I broke my ar wrench on it.
I’m praying that spikes will fix it but the insane negligence on display here doesn’t make me hopeful. I would consider this upper a danger to life and limb at this point. The only thing not ruined on it is that the barrel isn’t clocked somehow.
I could build a better upper than this. Plus I’ve had better luck with Psa of all things.

good night sights
Written on Nov 06, 2024
A good set of night sights. Easy to install but the rear aperture is installed backwards compared to a normal sight. Something to keep in mind, the large peep sight is the first one on this.

A way nicer grip than the basic one. Feels great in my hand and won’t slip away.
