Light and amazing
i'm nore than pleased with the 15" handguard i replaced myolder version with. Reduced weight by more than 1/2 as this comes in just shy of 10oz with barrel nut and screws. Awesome product and vey happy with my build. great for small hands but works with larger and plenty of room for accessories including grip pads. Not necessarily a con but price was a concern, yet worth every peny i paid once i received it. Shout out to Optics planet too for the assist on discount code!

nice n lightweight
Build quality feels solid enough for an extremely light weight rail. The only issue I see is that I run back up iron sights with a red dot/magnifier on the top rail, and the top m lok slots are kind of useless as anything else you'd want on a top rail are pic or require an m lok adapter, which then puts the device directly in the field of view of the red dot. Was wanting to run a holosun iris 1 for a laser, but that thing won't work. I guess my only "issue" is actually saving me from spending another ~$300 so my issue is a good one to have. Oh, and the m lok attachable pic plate that comes with it is polymer. Good enough for a light, but not much else.

Its a lightweight handguard, what else is there to say
I prefer this style of handguard. I installed an adjustable gas block on my AR. I needed the reliefs in the top picatinny rail so I could properly access the adjustment screw. Could I get to it from the front of my old one…sure. But my hands were at risk from being burned by the barrel or QD mount for my suppressor. This fit my set up perfectly. Super easy to install.

It's Just Okay
I decided on this instead of a regular combat rail, and I regret it. The combat rails I have on other ARs are extremely comfortable to hold. The edges are well machined/almost rounded. On this lightweight model, the mix of it being quite thin and lack of similar "rounded edges" makes this uncomfortable enough to hold that I put on those Magpul Type 2 clip-on rail covers... which probably add all the weight I was saving right back. Is it a quality handrail? Yes. Is it really worth it given it's far less comfortable to hold than a regular combat rail? No. Save weight elsewhere...

Every edge on this handguard a meticulously designed to be comfortable and rugged. It’s deburred and rounded over edges make a for sold comfortable grip. It’s lightweight has excellent lock up. And it’s priced way under competing companies with same quality or better I’ve had multiple MI handguards and they always exceed expectations. Optics Planet provided the best price and free 2day shipping nothing but good things to say about this product and purchase.

awesome lightweight handguard
Midwest Industries has made a very nice lightweight handguard. This thing is so astatically pleasing. It was easy to install and has a solid lock up. Wasn't sure if I'd like not having a full pic rail and 7 sided m-lock but after installing this handguard I don't care. I wanted to build a super lightweight upper and this fit the bill. I highly recommend it.

Although this handguard didn't fit my non mil spec AR22 upper perfectly, a little grinding made it flawless. The quality of these rails are very high and the annodizing is superb. Nice product.

Gorgeous handguard but will not work with Wilson BILLet lower
Gorgeous handguard but will not work with Wilson BILLet upper. Saw another review that said they used it with a Wilson Combat upper. That must have been a forged upper. Won't work with a billet. Shame because it is really a nice unit.
