Novice level easy.
I could not find a ruger pc carbine in the new "chassis " configuration so I purchased the stock PCC. And build my own chassis model at my dining room table, all you need is a good set of long T handle hex wrenches, the chassis comes with everything else. Except the basic ar15 pistol grip or the adjustable milspec butstock.
Great fit, easy install
Thorough instructions, all torque specs listed, all new hardware included. Snug fit but goes on easy. Paired this with the folding stock, pretty happy with it so far. *Does not fit pistol grips that have a beaver tail* It says this in the instructions, but not in the product listing. It will need an A1/A2 style grip, B5, Magpul MOE-K (not K2) or similar.
Pros:
- Perfect Fit
- easy to install
Cons:
- Slightly heavier than factory stock
- Not all AR pistol grips fit

MI chassis for PC carbine
This one nailed it. I loved the fit and ease of assembly. It retains the ability to switch out the magazines inserts from Ruger to Glock. You also keep the original magazine release. A little drawback, is the mag button is flush now, a little extension would help. I also purchased for PC9 the MI Mlok hand guard, folding stock adapter, buffer tube and Magpul stock to complete.
Pros:
- Fit
- Looks
- Ease of assemply
Cons:
- Adds weight
- mag button has no extension
Would recommend: Yes
Awsome fit and finish
Finally broke down and bought this after years of owning a pc carbine. Being used to shooting ARs why whole life/caree, this chasis really allowed for a more familiar grip and style. The fit and finish is great. The benefit of this chasis over the similar ruger standard that has extendable stock is this chasis drops the stock to a point where you could still line up the iron sights if needed. All parts needed were included and easily dropped right in. Just to emphasize, there is no stock or grip, just the chasis.

Worth every cent
Very solid upgrade from the plastic stock. It's a little heavier but alot more durable that factory. Definitely makes the rifle alot more comfortable to shoot.
Pros:
- Solid upgrade
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- solid
- Comfort and adjustable fit

Delayed shipping, defective screw, no spares in the box
Item shipped DHL for some reason which increased the shipping time at least 2-3 extra days. When it arrived it arrived with a defective socket head installation screw. Now I have to wait even longer for either Optics Planet to reach out to Midwest Industries to get a replacement part or send the whole thing back for a replacement. I tried to find a replacement on my own but these screws appear to be in standard instead of metric and are not that common the local home depot. If we run the chance of getting defective small parts then Midwest Industries really should supply spares in the box.

Great product: not fixed stock freindly
The quality of the product is excellent. It fits perfectly and all specs are tights. Directions are good and they include all torque specs. Includes blue loctite. Assembly was easy and intuitive. It took around 15 minutes the first time.
Performance was fantastic. It was comfortable and tight. The buffer tube height is at the same point as the original stock so cheek weld was good for the iron sights. I use a burris fastfire so i need another 1/2 inch.
Disassembly for cleaning is a few more steps as you need to remove the pistol grip base to access one of the receiver bolts.
Fixed stocks are an issue. Because the buffer tube is positioned to give you the same cheek weld as the original stock, there is only enough room for you hand between the pistol grip and bottom of the buffer tube. Most fixed stocks need cover the entire buffer tube which will take up all the space for your hand. I discovered this when I attached a Magpul Moe fixed. I tried a strike industries fixed worked but you can’t use the spacer to adjust the length of pull. So if you live in a restricted state, you will need get am adjustable stock and have it pinned.

Love this chassis
Love this upgrade for the ruger pcc. It does at quite a bit of weight so be prepared for that. How lever it looks great. I like the AR style it give it. No issues with installing. Pick your favorite at grip and stock and your ready to go.
