Highly recommend
Outstanding mount. The QD feature works great and attaches tight. Make sure you use thread locker on the screws, as it should be applied to all screws on firearms. I've used this mount for about a month now (police duty use) in and out of vehicles daily and the mount continues to hold zero. I would ...

screws suck!
Only 2 screws came with the mount. Both do not even thread into the mro......also Allen key doesn’t fit into the screw itself. Just terrible. Mount seems really nice. We’ll see how it goes after I order some replacement screws from larue
I cannot recomend MI QD mounts. Buy ADM (American Defense).
Short review:
Buy an ADM QD Mount.
Slightly longer but short review:
- This MI MRO QD mount, there is not direct access to the screws, making it difficult to align the screws in the holes and also to align the hex key with the screws, you have to screw them in with the tool at an angle. This increases the likelihood of stripping threads or the head socket.
- I cannot get the QD adjustment correct on the one I have. There is no sweet spot. Sent it to MI for repair, they were no help. They said it was supposed to be extremely, excessively, hyperbolically, overly difficult to remove. MI, that means it is NOT QD. Never had this issue with ADM mounts. (see long review for more dsetail)
Long review:
While the QD mechanism is a solid design and the overall finish is high quality, there is a MAJOR design flaw and I had an issue with mine that MI would not resolve.
Design flaw: There is not direct access to the holes making it difficult to align the screws and after the screws are in place it is impossible to align the hex tool with the screws, you have to angle the hex tool and it doesn't seat properly in the screws head - the flats of the hex tool won't engage with the [socket] flats of the screw head. Stripping the threads, tool, or socket becomes a significantly larger hazard. This also means your likely to under-torque the screws. MI should know better.
The issue with the one I bought: when I adjusted the nut so the mount wouldn't slide back and forth on the rail I cou...

Midwest Industries Trijicon MRO Quick Detach Mount
Outstanding mount. The QD feature works great. I've used this mount for about a week now and the mount continues to hold zero. I would recommend this mount. I have several others by midwest and all are excellent.
Pros:
- Holds zero
- Quick Detach
Cons:
- None

Midwest Industries mounts are the best
ive owned several optics mounts in my time but none better that Midwest Industries QD mounts. I have one for my ACOG and recently purchased another for my Trijicon MRO. They are solid, rugged mounts that retain their zero if removed and put back on the the same rail position. Ill never buy anything but MI mounts.
Pros:
- well built
- USA Made
- Hold zero
- QD lever is smooth and solid
Cons:
- None
Would recommend: Yes

Don't think just buy
Amazing mount, very sleak, and functions perfectly. Surprisingly light and very strong. QD lever is easy to adjust and open and closes effortlessly with one hand and locks up tight. Great value for Made in USA. Wish I bought it sooner.

Love MI Products
Everything you would expect from a MI product. Fit and Finish was excellent as usual. QD lever works smoothly and flawlessly easily adustable. Worried that hardware for mounting the MRO were not going to be included since I ordered just the MRO with no mount. some reviews claimed they didn't receive any however, I was happy to see screws with thread locker pre-applied were included very happy with my purchase.
Pros:
- Good looking, sturdy, easily adjustable, good fit and finish
Cons:
- Not free as usual
Best Used for:
- MRO QD attachment

MI is quality
Just like everything else from Midwest Industries, the quick detach mro mount is nothing short perfection. If you want solid parts for your firearms at a decent price then look no further. Almost every AR build that I have done has at least one or two Midwest Industries parts included.

Midwest Industries QD optics mount
Made in the USA, and very well built. I am using mine on a Trijicon MRO for night hunting, and I really like it. I got the QDMRO 1/3. The 1/3 means your rifles’s iron sights will show up in the lower 1/3 of the MRO optic, so it doesn’t block the red dot. This optic mount also comes ready to attach to other mounts as well.
Pros:
- Makes it possible to pull an optic off fast and maintain zero within 1MOA
Cons:
- None
Would recommend: Yes

QD at its finest.
Genuine QD mount.
Very simple to manipulate.
Easily adjustable retention.
Solid construction.
Allows optic to hold zero through 1,000+ rounds.
Have not had any issues since installing it on my Salient GRY chambered in 556, although this particular rifle has significantly less recoil than the average AR.

Midwest QD Mount
First time buyer of a Midwest Industries product. This thing is amazing. Mounted Trijicon MRO Patrol on it and put it on a DDM4V7. Quality product. Great price compared to other QD mounts. Zeroed in MRO and removed the mount and reinstalled. Held zero perfect!!
Would recommend: Yes
Fantastic mount
These Midwest mounts are just awesome. The locking mechanism is superior to so many other in the market. It truly does return to zero. Adjustments are tool less. I wish they made a lower 1/3 mount. I like the right side mechanism. It opens up use on other platforms but also doesn’t stick out far enough to be an obstructionist.
Pros:
- Strong superior mechanism, true return to zero
Cons:
- Wish there was a lower 1/3 height
Best Used for:
- 3 gun and sustained heavy use
Would recommend: Yes
