Most Helpful Positive Review First impressions
First impressions review of the Millet LRS-1 ATAC .1 Mil BK81005A. Went to this model from the all black version because found out, 3 weeks after waiting for it to get back in stock, that Millet discontinued certain LRS-1 models. First off the picture on this site shows a light desert tan wit...

Most Helpful Negative Review Nothing Special
I don't have anything really good or bad to say about this scope. It is a good value. Optics are good, although I could stand for a darker reticle. Eye relief is a problem for my R25 in .308. I will probably need to purchase another mount to move the scope forward and get the eye relief I need P...

Dad's deal update

by Phantom30, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 9, 2017
Supplemental information: The MIL dot bar reticle has two settings that read accurately. When set to 25x the dot to dot is one MIL with half MIL dashes in between to refine your measurements. When set at 12.5x the dot to dash measure is one MIL so you have a 10 MIL reticle at 12.5 power and 5 MIL at 25x

Millett LRS ATAC

by Stickfarm, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on July 25, 2017
I bought this scope because I bought another Millett scope (DMS) years ago and I still love it. My purpose was to have a scope that is long range and would gather lots of light. Primarily to be used in a long food plot, where most shots are over 300, and I have a nice shooting house and rest. The scope is big, heavy, and strong. The glass is great through all magnifications and the LRS will take heavy recoil. Tracks perfectly. Comes with mounts that are perfect on AR type flat tops. I put it on a M5E1 Creedmoor set up, and it works great. The gun is heavy, the scope is heavy, and that is what I wanted. It's like shooting a 22.. Do not buy if you need to run through the badlands and fight bad guys.

dad's day Deal

by Phantom30, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on June 7, 2017
I ordered this scope as soon as the dad day coupons came in, coupled with sale price it was an offer I could not refuse. I sent it to my alternate address a PO Box, said 5-10 business days, free shipping. Well, ordered on Monday morning, writing review after playing with it here Wednesday evening, amazing. This is my third Millett. This is the first Camo version, always wanted one but priced higher most of the time but, not this week. Ok it comes with those Millett high rings with 6 bolts per ring. They mount on large recoil weapons, think the recoil limit is 2000gs. This sight is a MIL/MIL unit, the elevation knob has about a 29 MIL come up capability, a little 6mm Creedmoor only needs 12.5 MIL for targets at 1,500 yards using DTAC 115gr RBTs. If your rifle ammo combination needs more than 29 MILs, you need to rethink that aspect not the scope. Otherwise you may need a MIL biased rail. It comes with a matching CAMO~ 4” shade. But the little Millett scope sock only covers the basic scope. The rubber lense covers are black – rattle can help required. All of the control devices are stiff when received but loosen up quickly with a little use. The scope quality is the finest second plane reticle unit around IMHO. The reticle is clear and gives accurate MIL readings when set to 25x. My only complaint is this version does not have an illuminated reticle for use with NVGs or low light settings. All the other details are the same as my other write ups for other model...

Great scope

by JoeK, from TX, United States Written on December 20, 2016
Exactly what I was after! Glass is clear and comparable to my more expensive scopes. I specifically got this for my a DPMS GII. Make sure you read the dimensions because at first I was a little taken back at it's size - it's a little big. However, it completely fits my needs! I would highly recommend if long distance shooting is what you are after.
Pros:
  • Price
  • features
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • lone range shooting

Fast shipping and a heck of a scope. Super clear and and incredibly accurate. Use it on my .308 and it does wonders. Rings are kind of tall so be prepared to build up the stock so you are seeing flush through the scope. Amazing price for the quality of the scope.

Purchased for AR10 Sub MOA weapon

by Voodoo, from AL, United States Written on October 16, 2015
From the looks it appeared to be heavy.. NOT so... Preliminary checks found the dials to be a bit sticky yet after operating them several times became smooth an easy to use with distinct clicks when dialing in. As for Clarity.. I will put this up against any of the other in my safe without hesitation. I set it up.. just tinkering around with it.. and being as in neighborhood did not have too many choices as to where and what i could attempt to focus on. finally i set up my truck backed out into the road.. and started thru the process.. i marked 100, 200, 300, 500 and 1k ranges. From 25 to 200 i did not have to adjust anything.. at 300 only minor adjustment.. At 5 it was dead on the mark... then i just for grins and giggles maxed it out.. I literally watched a guy throw a Marlboro out his car window @ 1.2 miles away. With that kind of clarity who needs the more expensive optics.. May sell some i have that are over 2k just to purchase and install these on all my long range weapons. Millet has outdone themselves with this one far surpassing optics at 3 times the cost. Thank you.

Great scope

by TominOregon, from OR, United States Written on September 18, 2015
This is my second one. The first I put on my .50 BMG. The same rifle that broke a Burris and a Swarovski.
The Millet is still good after 5 years.
I got this one for a 6.5 Creedmoor 1,000 yard gun.
Love that it has over 100 MOA adjustment built in.
Very satisfied customer.

Millett 6-25x56 LRS-1 MilDot Bar Reticle Long Range Riflescope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on March 26, 2013
Put it on my 300 Win Mag, adjustments are smooth and accurate. Image clarity was far better than I expected and I expected it to be very good. Put it through 20 continuous rounds after sight in and it held up to the beating it will never see in hunting.
Pros: Crystal clear at all magnifications, Easy to set up, sight in and use
Cons: They sent me the camo version instead of the Black
