This is an absolutely great scope. The adjustments are easy to use and the zero stop works great. It dials in perfectly every time. It’s very obvious that NighForce builds a quality product. I’d buy it again!

I purchased my first NXS R-1 W/Zero Stop over 10 years ago and the only regret I had was buying the 50mm Objective Lens rather than the 56mm. That being said I have established a relationship with Nightforce scopes and my favorite rifles. Coupled with Nightforce 20 degree mounts, Nightforce rings and Nightforce cosine angle indicator and level in front top ring I have rifles in six calibers shooting sub half minute groups at 100 yards! Beat that!

I started long range target shooting a few years ago and when I started out I decided to get reasonably inexpensive glass and go with an out of the box remington 700.

Once I was pretty confident out to 600 yards with an entry level scope it was time for some upgrades but good glass was out of my price range. I waited for a year or so and was finally able to make the jump to the Nightforce (in addition to upgrading most of the parts on the 700 as well). Took it out to the range and sighted it in with three shots. After about twenty warm up shots I was able to shoot a .51" group bench rest/bipod with sandbag at 100 yards.

It was really nice to not need a spotting scope and to be able to see the target crystal clear. The eye relief is really good for this level of zoom which is great because the 308 kicks "a little".

I tracked the turrets to the bottom left of the target, upper right and straight back to zero. Then I set the zero stop and tracked to the top left, top right and right back to zero. Amazing and really nice to know that if I ever get out and have to move things I can get right back to zero in a jiffy.

It's a Nightforce, and you get what you pay for. This scope is solidly built,and is absolutely crystal clear. The illumination is set just right for low light conditions from the factory. The cons are minor. It's not easy to change the illumination brightness, but it's already where it should be. I don't use the illumination when it's bright out. The only thing I could find that I would have changed is that this is a second focal plane scope. My preference is first focal plane, but you have to pay more for that.

The Night Force is a great scope. It is very ruggedly built. A little on the heavy side, but that's OK. I have many Zeiss scopes and I feel that the Night Force is a bit clearer. I have it on a .340 WBY for 1000 yard shooting! I would definitely buy another Night Force!

This scope is a great investment that will be passed down for generations. The quality is like no other. If you are looking for a scope to put on a long-range rig, this is it. The quality in glass is far superior to any other scope I have looked through. The turret adjustments are easy to use and the zero stop takes out all of the guess work. Optics planet customer service is second to none. This was the first purchase that I made through them. They are very informative on their products and easy to understand.

Exceptional cost-value relationship with the product. Crisp optics and reticle presentation in the sight picture equivalent to those in scopes 2x the cost. I hunt in N. America and Africa. I can't have scope problems. Nightforce has never given me one.

The NightForce 5.5-22x50 Tactical scope is the best scope I have ever owned. The zero stop is great for a fast re-set. The turrets are easy to use. Acquiring a target and then changing magnification is simple. The illuminated reticle makes low light target shooting easier and surer. It is not cheap but it is worth every penny. I bought it for long range shooting but it does so much more.

My NightForce Tactical 5.5-22x50 NXS Riflescope is fantastic. Crystal clear image with unbelievable features. This scope makes long distance shooting easy. I selected the free shipping and the scope arrived the next day. I bought a second one for my brother and again selected free shipping and it got there the next day. The second order was placed at 2:00 PM and it still got to my brother the next day. I will deal with OpticsPlanet from now on for my scopes.
