I’ve owned these since June 2017 When they first hit the market. I’ve used them a few times I still had the original battery in them. I went to use them a few weeks ago and the range readout display was not working properly, I couldn’t read the lower half of the display even with new battery installed. Called Nikon they gave me an address for repair in NY. It cost me 35.00 to ship. They received them 5 days later. Two weeks after that I had a brand new pair on my porch! Hope these do better great customer service!

Just received my Nikon LaserForce what a great item. The optics a crystal clear. The range finder is easy to use and quick to range. Don't have much choice here in Australia so these were bought sight unseen and i am happy with what arrived. Optic Plant was as usual great to deal with and quick delivery.

Bought this right before this years deer season, first time I took it out had trouble turning it on and getting readings after playing with it for a while finally got it to work but poor magnification and slow readings. Bought it base on reviews i saw online -- those must be from company employees or bogus because nothing they said was true about the pair i bought. Did some further research and found the Vortex and Rudolph optics Bino-range finders on here, went to a local dealer to see them before i bought, both worked almost identically, but the Rudolph Brand was almost 350 cheaper. Returned the nikons and bought the Rudolph's glad i saved the money also

Just purchased the Nikon LaserForce 10x42 Rangefinding Binoculars. Bright, sharp glass and the rangefinder works extremely well. I'm very happy with my purchase. In fact, I have made several purchases from OpticsPlanet and they have never disappointed me. Online ordering is easy and hassle free. Shipping is great and they give you great incentives to buy from them. If I need optics of any kind, this is the company that will get my business. Great prices, huge selection, great service. Give them a try. Keep up the good work OpticsPlanet!

Wow this really beats having a rangefinder and binos. The rangefinder works very fast and very far. Glass quality seems really good. I have not compared them to the Bushnell or the vortex Fury. These nikons come with the lifetime warranty also. my only cons are I believe all three are made in China. I know the vortex fury and then Nikon are for sure but I’m not sure on the Bushnell. Battery life seems to be a little short but not terrible but have a few batteries on hand. The Bino’s are a little bit heavy but it’s not terrible. Besides that these things are truly amazing and I can’t believe how fast the rangefinder works and how far it goes.

These are by far the best binoculars on the market and wouldn't change a thing. The range finder is dead on accurate. They were great ranging Pronghorn running at 900 yards. A must have for the long range hunter.

good design, compact, easy to use, quick response, accurate range. the optics are not as good as normal binocular from Nikon.
light transmission rate is not high, and have some yellow tint in the image.
have not used in the hunting trip yet, just tried several times in the backyard.

The thing that impresses me the most about Nikon is their clarity. Of course what else would you expect from a top photographic equipment manufacturer. Their glass is clear. It's as clear as any European glass, at much less cost! The range finder portion is dead on accurate. I measured it against two other rangefinders and all three consistently came up with the same number for all three. I also checked the distance with it and was getting "reads" out to its stated capabilities of a mile. So yes it will do what it says it will do.
On another note. Rather than carry binoculars AND a rangefinder. This eliminates one more piece of equipment. These rangefinders work just as well and just as clear a any binoculars on the market. The ranging functions only come on when you power up. Don't power up and they are good quality 10X binoculars. If you want to scan after powering up. They will automatically shut off after about 10 seconds. It's a lot less bulk and weight savings carrying one piece of equipment rather than two!
Pros:
- Ease of use
- Weight
- clarity,
Best Used for:
- hunting
- sports
- observation

Impressive performance so far. Optics are very clear and on par with higher end glass. Range finder works very well and is easily used. A bit heavy but not excesive. Battery life is only con so far but I suspect that will increase once the honeymoon is over.
Pros:
- Really clear and sharp focus, very easy to use range finder. Not much larger than comperable normal binoculars
Cons:
- Potentially low battery life. Heavy for size compared to standar binoculars, as expected.

I have wanted a rangefinding binocular for ever it seams, but just couldn't justify the cost. These are priced right (for me) and well worth the money I think. The optics are a good as any I have tried that are near this price range. However the rangefinding fell short of the advertised distances for me. I was able to come close to the 1900 yards on a new stainless steel milk trailer 1881yds. On pine trees 1550. Not so great on deer sized Elk - 625. Full sized Elk cow - 850. Horse W/rider - 885. Animals are advertised at 1100? For all the above results
I approached from a far piece stopping every 50yds and ranging till I got consistent readings.
I'm a little disappointed in the rangefinding on animals. I'm keeping mine but I'm asking Nikon about my reading.
Pros:
- Ease of use
- Lookig and rangefinding all in one
Cons:
- did NOT perform as advertized
- Alittle heaver than 10X42 binos
Best Used for:
- Hunting and long range shooting
