Nifty design from a company I like.
I needed a new light for a new handgun and this one fit the bill. Nitecore isn't high end priced but in my opinion it has high end quality and high end customer service. When I saw it used a magnetic charger, I didn't look any further. I figured it was something like the OLight magnetic setups. It is not. You have to remove the proprietary battery, which is quick-release easy, and then charge it. At first I was a bit bummed until I found they sell that battery for a reasonable price and a two battery charger for an equally reasonable price, so I ordered those. Nitecore NPL25 weapon light with green laser.
Very happy with this light, easy to install and works great, easy on and off! Very bright! Would recommend it to anyone who wants a good light.

Compact power!
I was replacing an older pistol light on my full-size S&W M&P9. I was pleasantly surprised at the balance of compact size and power this device provides. If fits perfectly in the profile of my pistol, behind the end of the barrel and within the width of the slide! The ambidextrous buttons fit perfectly along the trigger guard and are knurled so you can find them easily. Super bright light and laser paired with rechargeable batteries are perfection. Requires a proprietary battery pack but Nitecore does sell spares (and dual chargers) on their site if you need extras. My only real complaint is the lack of a quick release mechanism to remove the device. However, this is such a minor thing it's more whining than actual issue. TL;DR It's small but mighty!

Great light
The brightness of the light was surprising for its size. Compared to a TLR-1 it is much brighter. The laser works well and seems to hold zero well. I only have about 100 rounds with it so not a long term test by any means.

APL25GL charging
The light itself seems great, but to plug the charging cable in…..there’s no adapter provided, to connect it to a power source! Otherwise, I’m happy with it.
