Great Quality
Got my first set and used it for a little bit, the sound quality is amazing and superb. The levels of adjustment are very nice as well! It’s a universal nato style plug. Just get any u94 PTT and it will hook up! There’s something I noticed that I have not found in a headset yet, and that is, WITHOUT...

Terrible Customer Service from Otto Engineering
Don't bother trying to deal with Otto's customer service as they will not help you if something is wrong with them. I had an issue with the cord and tried for over two weeks to get them sent in and repaired but Customer Service department offered no help and was quite rude.

Love the gel inserts, very comfortable well made and the performance of the headphones sounds very clear. The PTT adapter feels solid. The quality A+ I highly recommended it! You get what you pay for!

Otto NoiseBarrier TAC
They might be pricey but they fit great and are superior to my Walkers that I used before. Haven't tried them with comms yet but this does come with a hardwired down lead for that. Kinda wish I could unplug the lead but I just tuck it up out of the way for now.

Doesn’t Work
The units power up and the surrounding ambient noises are transmitted to the internal speakers. Nice. But the headsets absolutely do not allow communication through my walkie-talkies. I have 2 midland talkies that communicate just fine. But plug them into the otto headsets and i get nothing. I would return these if i could but i didnt test them out before the 30 day window!

Solid Product!
Great product and definitely a great buy. Intuitive controls and nice fit, this is the entire package right out of the box. All you will need is a push to talk connector and a radio (and a carrying pouch for your carrier) and you're all set

- Excellent value

If you need communications, this is the one
Before these OTTO ear pro hit the market, we only had Peltor Comtac and MSA Sordin to choose from if you wanted a quality coms setup. I took the chance with these OTTO NoizeBarrier's and they are worth every penny and more. The sound on these are so defined, that I can tell precisely where the noise is coming from, including above or below me. Super solid construction. I've used these for a few months and I'm loving them.
Unlike the Peltor and MSA's, the com's connections can easily be removed and reinstalled without fear that you'll break something like the Peltors. I could not be happier.
Also, I met a few Marines who use the OTTO NoizeBarrier Mirco ear pieces and they loved them with no bad comments. One said they had not recharged the charging case in 5+ months and earbuds still had full charge.

great product
So far this has been an amazing set for my bump helmet. The Amps are amazing and they are super comfy and don’t give me headaches from long term wear. Otto has some great customer service if I had questions. They were always fast to respond. Optics planet is always great and super fast shipping. They have great customer service.

Excellent Electronic Hearing Protection with Comms
The Otto Noizebarrier TAC's are excellent if you are looking for hearing protection with comms. Compared to Peltor/MSA these are the same quality if not higher. Although I have them mounted to a helmet, the head band can hide both the power and PTT cable if you are not hooked into a comm system. Very comfortable, you can easily wear these for an extended time.
You are able to use the Mic on either side but my one minor complaint is the PTT cable may not be able to be moved to the other side, but maybe it can, just too nervous to try pulling it out. But that is me just being nitpicky and does not affect performance of this awesome unit at all.
Quick shipping and was priced well. Definitely consider these. PLUS MADE IN AMERICA!!!

Excellent Headset
Very nice headset. Sound reproduction is spot on, at times seeming like you're not wearing hearing protection. Very easily dissembled without tools in order to attach to a helmet, and back again. Mic is removable and can be used on either right or left cup. They are fairly comfortable with memory foam ear seal. Minimal interference when shouldering a long gun. If you need a headset that you can attach to a helmet without cutting or breaking anything, then these may be what you're looking for.
Pros:
- Ruggedness
- Build quality
- Sound Reproduction
Cons:
- None

- shooting
- Tactical
